Power Rangers
Power Rangers is a long-running American children's television series adapted from the Japanese tokusatsu Super Sentai Series, though it is not simply an English dub of the original. Rather, it is a 'new' production with English-speaking actors spliced in with the original Japanese footage in varying ratios. Due to the very Japanese nature of many of the Super Sentai Series' stories and design, the American shows are altered to fit a Western audience. However, many of the action sequences featuring the characters in costume and the mecha (referred to as "Zords" in the English series) are typically dubbed.

Factory Reconditioned Homelite ZR10926 16-Inch 33cc Ranger Gas-Powered Antivibration Chain SawReviewsI have had a 16" Ranger for over 5 years and am pleased with the performance. We had a destructive winter storm here in NY and I needed to cut up trees and tree limbs that had fallen. I put a new chain on as the old one was dull (and I didn't want to spend the time sharpening. The chainsaw worked fine, strong and easy starting. I agree with the comments about chain oil usage. I bought a less viscous oil at Home Depot than I had been using and found that I was really going through the oil (Echo). This is OK as it protects better. My unit was purchased new and came with sharpening files (never used!), tool and case. This is good for medium duty. I would purchase again. Used chainsaw 1 time for about 2 hours. Now to start the spark plug has too be removed, pull the cord 15-20 times & replace plug. Then it will start but only run for 5-10 minutes & process has to be repeated. Lesson learned. Do not buy cheap reconditioned lawn equipment. Spend the extra money for quality & save the frustration. the oil and gas fill openings are in a bad place, they leak! Particularly the chain oil cap. The saw is heaver and the spark plug is harder to access than in my old 2x. This saw is OK, but just Ok. If I had seen it , I wouldn't have bought it! RB Unit arrived quickly, installed chainbar and chain. Could not get it started. Called Amazon to return this piece of junk, was advised to take it to a Homelite Service Center. Drove 15 miles and was told by service center that they can't even look at it for at least a month. So now I have this new chainsaw that is utterly useless to me. DON"T BUY!! Walt This is a piece of junk. Lots of cheap plastic, which would be acceptable if the thing worked. I purchased one new and it never started easily. Now it leaks bar oil copiously and won't start at all, having been gently used on two occasions and not maltreated at all. If you have a choice DO NOT buy this saw. Average Rating:![]() |

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The MovieReviewsBut my 5 year old was mesmorized. A great way for your kids to kill 90 minutes on a rainy day. My sons like the action scenes. The names and scenarios are a bit cheesy/corny, but it's a fun flick for the kids. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a strange creature. I guess you could call it an "alternate universe" Power Rangers story. Yes, the movie does share similar story points to the end of Season 2 and beginning of Season 3 of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series, where a new villain arrives, destroys the Rangers' powers, and the powerless Rangers must embark on a journey to find a new power source in order to defeat the new threat. However, this movie is completely independent of the canon of the television series that spawned it because the events of the movie, particularly its main antagonist Ivan Ooze, are never mentioned or referenced in the TV series. I guess the filmmakers' intent was to make a movie that didn't require the audience to know about the television series. The acting isn't much different from the television series, since most of the main actors from the show reprise their roles here. The new villain, Ivan Ooze, comes off more like Grampa Munster, devious but in an almost innocuous way. And oddly enough, for a guy who has been trapped in a giant egg for 6,000 years, he can still make Brady Bunch references. I guess he managed to get a cable signal in that egg somehow. The movie does have a shinier, glossier look and feel to it expected of a movie with a bigger budget. The monsters and villains from the television show have received a noticeable makeover, and the Power Rangers' costumes themselves have also received a redesign, replacing the spandex with sleek suits of armor. Even the soundtrack gets an upgrade by composer Graeme Revell and utilizes source music from Van Halen and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Power Rangers' Zords and their monster foes in the television show were simply men in costumes stomping through miniature city sets made of cardboard a la Godzilla; this footage was taken directly from the Super Sentai series from Japan that gave birth to the Power Rangers franchise in America. But in this movie, the Zords and Ivan Ooze's giant insect robots are obviously products of computer-generated effects, though the CG work here is circa 1995 and nowhere near as good as the most recent "giant fighting robots" movies like Transformers. In all, this is a basic "good vs. evil" kid's movie with lots of shiny things for your kids to enjoy, but don't expect something deeper. It seems like yesterday that my family and I went to see the big screen adaptation of MMPR. I even remember owning all of the promotional McDonald's toys and owning the toy of the Ninja Megazord (the TV version). But anyway, in this action-packed film (with an actual budget and no Super Sentai footage to be found) Rita and Zedd release intergalactic super-villain Ivan Ooze (played by Paul Freeman of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"). Can the Rangers beat this new and dangerous threat? Well I don't like spoiling movies so you'll just have to watch it. It was great to see the same actors (minus the original Red, Black and Yellow Rangers) And it was just amazing to have a villain of great power who got rid of the two most popular Ranger villains in the first act of the film. While I love the movie, I just have a few problems, first: Ooze should've created a monster with Rita and Zedd (that's what they were known for creating/growing monsters) to attack the Rangers. They could've used the Thunderzords but have them destroyed in the process of the battle, along with their powers. This take was adapted into the season three 4-part opener "Ninja Quest" of the series, which has no continuity with this film as in the series, their powers come from Ninjor, not Dulcea as shown in the film. Second: for a quest to obtain the Great Power, it was pretty short. They get the ninja suits, go through a forest and fight a skeleton dinosaur and BOOM! They're at the temple! Third: where the heck are Baboo, Squatt and Finster? They get replaced and get no mention. Mordant is treated as if he's always been there since day one. And fourth: I hate the kid! I know this was a kids movie and they wanted someone for the kids to identify with but I have never been a real fan of kid actors in film (except the original Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, Temple of Doom and Blues Brothers 2000 [but that took many viewings for me to even tolerate Buster.]) And how the heck does a kid his age know how to operate a monorail and a crane? Despite those few minor problems, I have no problem with this movie. Its pure entertainment that will keep the kids occupied for an hour and a half. If you grew up on watching the original power rangers, this is a good way to take a trip down memory lane and relive the fun. This movie shows the original power rangers turn into the ninja rangers. As long as you keep in mind that this movie was aimed for us as kids, you won't be disappointed! May be fun to intoduce to a new generation of ranger watchers. Average Rating:![]() |

Best of the Power Rangers: Songs from the TV SeriesReviewsListen to this cd! It's the greatest ever. If you're a fan like me - you'll totally love it! More power to the Power Rangers & let the Power protect you! As soon as I got this cd I listened to it right away and loved all the songs on the cd. I especially love the title song GO GO Power Rangers, I thought it had a really good beat and you can dance to it. I highly recommed this and other Power Ranger CDs. I bought this C.D. with the understanding that many of my favorites wouldn't be on it. However, I didn't know that the original and Turbo theme songs would be redone (for the worse.) Another negative review states that only three of the songs are from the series. I would assume that those songs are tracks 6, 7, & 8. 6 is from the Turbo Power Rangers Movie. 7 & 8 are from the Zeo series. If you're willing to buy the album for these three alone, go ahead. Otherwise, you're probably in for a disappointment. I love this CD. I love the show, whenever it airs. THe whole stuff rocks. Cool stuff. This was bought for our son and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!!!! The cd is a great addition to any power ranger collection and perfect for that Power Ranger Fan. The songs on the cd are from most of the power ranger seasons and again is great. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a different type of power ranger item!!! Average Rating:![]() |

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie - Original Soundtrack AlbumReviewsThe response was awesome. It came in the allotted time. All I have to say is: THANKS! Isn't the "Higher Ground" in the movie the one by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, not Stevie Wonder? I ordered the CD I wanted and got it quickly. No delays, no problems. The CD works fine, but it came with a whole bunch of blue gunk on it that i had to clean off. To me, thats something the seller should have taken care of before they sent it. My husband loves this CD. We had been looking for it for a few years now, since his cassette tape stopped working! I dont think he has taken it out of his CD yet! Thanks so much! Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - The Power of Teamwork Overcomes All [VHS]ReviewsBack in 1999, The Power Ranger series was basically reaching its peek with creative plotlines with the multicolored laytex characters portrayed by actors who haven't been teenagers in who knows how long. You probably won't be seeing them in any other shows or movies (except maybe Archie Kao - who has appeared on an episode of "CSI: Crime scene investigation" and in a few episodes the newer seasons of the Hospital Drama "ER") besides other later Power Ranger series. If anything, I was beginning to reach the teenage years. Although I was far off from it, my interest in Power Rangers was waning because naturally I mentally instilled in my mind that I had seen all that Power Rangers had to offer. After The "PR In Space" series, I was basically ready to look at something else. FOX-KIDS and Saban managed to reel me back in with yet another space incarnation of Power Rangers called "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy" (notably mis-titled as "Power Rangers in the lost galaxy"). The show basically focused on the adventurous teenager Leo Corbett - (Danny Slavin) and his galaxy hopping mishaps through the universe on the space colony Terra Venture. The series followed more closely to its Japanese counterpart "Super Sentai: Gingaman" & lasted about 45 episodes before ending with 3 part finale. The story goes like this: Leo Corbett stowaways on a shuttle to Terra Venture (against his brother's wishes if memory serves) and ends up in training program on the moon where he runs into his brother Mike Corbett after meeting Kindrex and Kai. Upon being reprimanded by his big brother, a portal opens up and a girl dressed in practical rags comes tumbling out begging for help to boot. The girl, Mya (Cerina Vincent) pleads for help for her planet Mirinoi who is under attack by a creature by the name of Furio and Mike decides to oblige to her pleads and help her out, but wants Leo back on a shuttle to earth [I think]. Naturally, things don't work out the way anyone wants them to and Leo follows his big brother through the portal with Kai hot on his tail. From there the storyline and plot springs off into several different sagas/arcs (Leo Corbett becomes the Red Galaxy Ranger, Kai Chen, The blue galaxy ranger, Kindrex Morgan, The pink galaxy ranger - Mya, The yellow galaxy ranger - and Damon, (Reggie Rolle) The green galaxy ranger) that aren't properly explained until halfway near the end of the series. While "Lost Galaxy" may not have been the most popular in the Power Ranger series, it held more of a --dare I say it -- mature atmosphere to it, and is the only series that kills several of its main characters, thus reintroducing one character from "Power Rangers in Space." Leo's brother Mike Corbett becomes the Magna Defender later on in the series. While its almost downright hard to watch Lost Galaxy now without going red in the face or laughing, I've noticed that inbetween the episodes there were a lot of pointless character/filler episodes (Double Duty, Green Courage, Blue to the test, Loyax' Last Battle, A red romance, etc.), and only one episode that gave me the creeps as a kid (The Rescue Mission. In which Mike, Leo, and the GSA military force answer a distress call from abandoned shuttle drifting through space. The only episode in which the characters don't transform). Most of the episode arcs that spanned over 2/3 episodes. The "THE LOST GALAXY/CAPTAIN MUTINY" arcs that spanned over three or more episodes were probably the most boring arcs because it took them maybe longest time to get through, though it cannot be denied that it did tie up loose ends within the show. The acting is the usual B-movie type acting. The music didn't help the dramatic scenes much either, I just found myself brought to tears trying not to giggle at the US voiceovers dailouge (which was probably the silliest I'ver heard. A trademark for Power Rangers) when the Japanese actors were in the power ranger costumes. That's not to say that LG didn't have good moments in when the acting never seemed B-moveish (most of the time provided by Russell Lawrence/Mike, Archie Kao/Kai, and Valerie Vernon/Kendrix. Aside from commander and the higher ranker officer that was shown in the 3 part finale. "Then Terra venture will freeze." woman. But the others do a bang-up job themselves) that even surprised my older self --- I never paid much attention to the acting as a kid---, that was few and far between basically. The martial arts and fighting was/is the best part of the show, its the reason you watched the teenagers transform into their colorful personas even though watching men dressed up as the big monsters fighting the Power Rangers is something to laugh at. The characters have more of dynamics to them than the previous characters of previous Power Rangers seasons (Excluding Mighty Morphin, Turbo, and Space. These seasons included Ninja Storm/Dino Thunder/S.P.D./Light Speed Rescue, etc.); There is a dramatic atmosphere with the teenage heroes of Terra Venture, especially with Leo Corbett. He's the red galaxy ranger that carries the weight of his responsibility as leader - the supposed death of his brother - and blaming himself for almost every mishap that happens to his comrades, its more or less like a soap opera mixed into the series. The most characters that get the least attention are Daemon and Mike, who have less character/personality in the series because the storyline focuses so much more on the Red - Blue - Pink (no.1 - Kendrix Morgan) - Yellow - Trakeena (Amy Miller) and her father's ---Scorpius--- exploits to destroy them. Which is sort of a sad thing when you get tired of the Red/Blue/Pink/Yellow drama episodes. The animation was naturally low budget and poor. I wonder if put any effort into the animation or did just make something up and slapped onto the screen along with the live action? This will forever remain a mystery to me. But all in all "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy" has shaped up to be my absolute favorite out of the previous seasons of POWER RANGERS. I only pray FOX HOME VIDEO decides to put all 13+ seasons of Power Rangers according to episode, on DVD soon before anyone who has watched it is gone with the wind. This VHS contains four or more episodes from the beginning of the season of PRLG ((Quasar Quest, Quasar Quest (2), Race to the Rescue, Rookie in Red)). Its been awhile since I've seen any of them, but if my memory serves me correctly they were pretty good and left me giddy for months when I was younger anyway. Now its just a nice feeling of nostalgia. ---------[a 5 out 5] Of all the Power Rangers seasons, Lost Galaxy is my favorite. I was really disapointed that they couldn't release the last 4 episodes on VHS or DVD. Power Rangers has been on for nearly 12 years. The first 2 years it was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the 3rd season half of it was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the last half was Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers. Then it became Power Rangers Zeo, then Power Rangers Tubro, Power Rangers in Space was after that, this video is from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, then it was Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, then Power Rangers Time Force, then Power Rangers Wild Force, now Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Next year will likely be called either Power Rangers Dino Rage or Dino Thunder, something that has to do with dinosours. This video is pretty good, but the action is nowhere near the action-packed first and second movie. This does have its bad moments, but all in all, it's pretty good. It explains everything (pretty much) and has no huge plotholes. Speaking of plot...Leo Corbett stows away in a space settlement called Terra Venture and is on the run. Acidentally, he bumps into Kendrix Morgan and Kai Chen, two GSA officials. When asked by police, Kendrix makes excuses but doesn't answer Kai's own questions. Long story short, Leo stows away again on a training exercise and saves Kendrix's life, Kendrix and Kai's commanding officer Mike (guess) Corbett tells Leo off for following him, a portal opens up and a girl called Maya falls through. Mike and Kendrix investigate her world but Leo jumps in at the last second. What will happen? That's for me to know, and you to find out. So get the movie! Seems that Haim Saban can never stop those "Power Rangers" from being on the air. Even with all those new monsters and characters and improved special effects, he hasn't really regained the popularity he had in the beginning, except with his more recent Digimon. The PR came to America in 1993 and immediately they were a major hit. Austin St. John, Thuy Trang, and Walter Emmanuel Jones, however, left the show in 1995 because they were dissatisfied with payment (them greedy cowards!); thus, Karan Ashley, Steven Cardenas, and Johnny Yong Bosch took over. The release of the first Power Rangers movie in summer 1995 thus didn't do well at the box office at all, our once favorite superheroes were going downhill. Making subsequent spin-offs didn't help. Now what? First they were the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (everyone knows who they were), then they transformed into Zeo, shifted into turbo, conquered space, forged through lost galaxies, and traveled at the spped of light to the rescue. Now, there'll be "Time Force" like, next month, but I don't think it'll be any more fun than Lost Galaxy may have been. Power Rangers in Space (1998) was SO much better than that. What the heck....it's 2001 and with the Digimon garnering high ratings on Nielsen like mad (yet their movie wasn't very successful either), what WILL be these guys' future? I guess there won't be no future for them now that they're no longer #1. Even the mystic knights of tir na nog were never the popular warriors the PR were. I don't care anymore. It's only a TV show. This tape is a bit short, running just under an hour, but if you're interested in seeing how the Lost Galaxy Rangers came to be, it's worth the purchase. The only downside is since the tape doesn't run very long, you don't get to see the full range of the Rangers' powers and their Zords' abilities. To see that, you should check out the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy Video, The Return of The Magna Defender, which is 90 minutes long, and more bang for your buck. But for a Power Rangers fan, this tape is worth the buy. Average Rating:![]() |

If you blinked, you might not have noticed that this trendsetting phenomenon of the early '90s--the Power Rangers--has switched gears with a new set of warrior actors and a new setting: space. Power Rangers Wild Force - Curse of the Wolf [VHS]ReviewsThis video is not a great Power Rangers video, but I'm sure if you're a collector you'll be getting it anyway. It's not as if this is seriously dire, but once you put it in the VCR, you probably won't wanna put it in many times after that, so here's hoping you like the video packaging. You'll probably not be noticing it on your shelf for a long time to come. Gauridians of the Earth uninited we Roar! Power rangers wild Force, Noble tiger, Great shark, soring ealgel, irion bision, Roriang Lion!... Is that supose to make the Rangers stronger or somthing? It's not helping them defeat Zenaku. Like BlackwarGreymon, He tries to rember what hapen and was the 6th ancient warrio that was destroyed becase he became evil from an unknown source. He's also Inviceble nothing the Rangers are diong isn't working. Not even the Soulbrid can deafeat Zenaku. It's totaly pricless sieng the Rangers lose their Zord crstals that they worked so hard to get. It's theb course of the wolf that defeated the Rangers. Why do they say their stupid motto?(See above frist sentice.) At least Zenaku became the LunerWolf: Merick. 427: SOUL BIRD SALVATION (3/30/02) A wandering Duke Org called Retinaxe battles the Rangers to prove his worth. With Freezer Org's help, the Zords are frozen and the Rangers are rendered powerless. The Soul Bird hatches, restores the Zords and powers, and helps the Rangers defeat Retinaxe. 428: CURSE OF THE WOLF (4/06/02) Master Org releases the Duke Org Nayzor, who finds and releases another Duke Org - Zen-Aku. Zen-Aku utterly defeats the Rangers in battle, and steals the Elephant power orb. 429: BATTLE OF THE ZORDS (4/13/02) An injured Alyssa is tended to by Zen-Aku, after she is attacked by Toxica and Jindrax. Zen-Aku summons his own Dark Wild Zords to battle the Rangers' Wild Zords. 430: PREDAZORD, AWAKEN (4/20/02) After defeating the runaway Bus org, the Rangers face Zen-Aku, who combines his Dark Wild Zords into the Predazord, and steals the Giraffe Power Animal from them. i would reccomend this movie to people who like power rangers. Turbo: A Power Rangers MovieReviewsI love it. Me and my brother have already worn it out lol. I recommend it for any real power ranger fan! I mean that about Power Rangers in general, even after seeing the Super Sentai series of which Power Rangers is based on. Every couple of years at least, I go through this big Power Ranger crazy phase (it goes basically from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1 to Power Rangers in Space, but I also enjoy Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, which is how I got into it). I don't know exactly what it is, but I'm guessing that it's because it's just good fun, but it can get pretty epic, yet it's still not completely serious. Now, I feel that the Power Rangers Turbo television show wasn't as good as the previous shows in many ways. I feel that Power Rangers Turbo was more of a transitional show with some good episodes here and there. I really liked many of the subplots from episodes of the show. What do I think of the movie? The movie is the opposite of the television series in my personal opinion. While the show had a several really good subplots about the Rangers' personal lives, but wasn't as good a show, the film is great. It's not exactly the opposite because there is a subplot about a karate competition where the award is a check that is planned to be donated to the orphanage, but one of them, who also happens to be the Blue Ranger, breaks his back. Meanwhile, there's a wizard from another planet who has a key that can open many dimensional gateways, and he's being chased by an awesome villain, Divatox (she's not as evil as King Mondo, Rita Repulsa, or Lord Zedd but she's sure a lot more entertaining). I really like Divatox's henchmen, but again, they're nowhere near as evil as the Machine Empire or Rita and Zedd's henchmen. These villains are much more comical, but they're also very different from the previous villains. While the Machine Empire and Rita and Zedd were more epic villains, Divatox seems a bit more like an underground sort of villain, but that might be because she's working underwater. The film is about Divatox's attempt to use a wizard's magical key to free a giant beast from where he had been trapped centuries ago. The Power Rangers create new powers to go on a journey to stop Divatox, and because Rocky, the Blue Ranger, has broken his back, they get a new Blue Ranger. When overhearing a the Power Rangers being contacted by their leader, Justin, a twelve year old boy, is chosen to be the Blue Ranger. One of the things I like about one of the scenes, and one of the episodes of Power Rangers Turbo, is the way they develop the relationship between Justin and Kat, the Pink Ranger. Don't worry, it's not like that; it's in some ways more like a mother son type of relationship. The film also includes the return of probably the two most popular original Power Rangers. Jason was the original Red Ranger, and had recently become the Gold Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo. Kimberly was the original Pink Ranger, and developed an extremely serious relationship with Tommy, originally the Green Ranger, but now the Red Ranger. In Zeo, she sent Tommy a letter telling him that she had fallen in love with someone else, but that Tommy would always be a good friend, so there isn't really anything in that area. Also, Tommy already is with Kat. Now, how does this film compare to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie? Well, Ivan Ooze is one of my favorite villains, but I'll admit that part of it is that he's the only villain that wasn't part of the shows or anything, so there really isn't much of him. Ivan Ooze is a much more epic villain than Divatox, but Divatox has two things that Ivan Ooze doesn't have, and she's much more comedic. Ivan Ooze had funny moments, but Divatox had a much more over-the-top personality. Some other things about this film in comparison to the other Power Rangers movie is that this film was part of the continuity. The other film redesigned Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, and Goldar, got rid of Finster, Squatt, and Baboo, and added this pig-like creature. With that film, they also redesigned the Power Rangers suits, and in my personal opinion, it was for the worst. With Turbo, the film happens right between Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Turbo, instead of in a rewritten world. One of the things I really like about Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie is that, from what I understand, it doesn't use any Super Sentai footage, and it doesn't use any of the episodes of Super Sentai Carranger for inspiration. It's the same with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, but I still prefer Turbo. Overall, I really like Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie because it's mainly entertaining. I watched the Power Rangers battle evil during my weekdays and Saturday mornings in my elementary school years and yes, I did stick with the show when I was in middle school. But this movie signals for me the moment where the Power Rangers lost their cool, and it's considered by some to be the moment the franchise "jumped the shark," when characters and powers started to become easily interchangable, beginning a process that nowadays sees a new team of Power Rangers, new powers, new Zords, and new villains each and every season. Unlike Might Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, which was an independent "alternate universe" story that didn't attempt to connect itself to the events of the television show, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie serves as a direct bridge between Season 4 (Power Rangers Zeo) and Season 5 (Power Rangers Turbo), explaining the events that occur between these seasons. An evil space pirate named Divatox is looking for a couple human sacrifices to bring her long lost love (a giant lava beast) to life, choosing two retired Power Rangers from series' past, Kimberly and Jason (Amy Jo Johnson and Austin St. John, the original Pink and Red Rangers from the first season) and it's up to the current team of spandex-wearing heroes to rescue them and defeat Divatox. But before they can do that, they need all-new Turbo Powers with matching Turbo Zords to make sure they're up to the task. And that's where the movie loses me. In previous seasons, the Power Rangers never needed new Powers until they were defeated and/or their previous powers were destroyed. In Season 4, the Power Rangers acquired new Zeo Powers after their old powers are destroyed, an event that was built up and hyped during Season 3 quite effectively. But in this movie, the much-hyped Zeo powers have suddenly been deemed inadequate for fighting Divatox. They don't even so much as attempt to fight her with their Zeo powers, they just go ahead and make new "Turbo" powers. In previous seasons of the show, the powerless Rangers would often need to fulfill some task or go on some quest in search of a new power source or new Zords. But if they can simply make new and improved powers out of the blue, then why haven't they done it previously in the show? Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to do that than to go on some quest? And why are Ranger powers so abundant anyway? Everytime the Rangers lose their powers, there's always a new power source that allows them to become Rangers again. Instead of having just five or six Rangers, why not gather all the various power sources and put together a Ranger army? I know, I'm thinking way too much into this for a kid's show, but this stuff does run through your mind when you realize how long the Power Rangers have been around. Another thing that puts me off about this movie is the introduction of a child as a new Power Ranger. Granted, all the Rangers are supposed to be kids, they're normal high school students when they're not fighting monsters. But none of them have been fresh out of elementary school when they became Power Rangers until now. However, this isn't a complete precedent. The Super Sentai series, the Japanese inspiration and originator of the United States' Power Rangers brand, included a child Ranger in one of their seasons. But it's done in Turbo as a blatant attempt to draw in younger viewers since the core of the Power Rangers audience (like me) was growing up and becoming teenagers. This backfired on them, as the older viewers were put off by it and tuned out. In the end, it's a kid's movie. The costumes and effects are on par with the television series, a contrast from the first movie's redesigned armor-like costumes and splashier special effects. And it is more or less a very long toy commercial, but these new toys don't feel as cool as the previous ones. What's cool about riding around in Zord that's just an oversized car when you can pilot a giant robotic T-Rex or Dragon Zord instead? Well, at least this movie will distract your kids for a little while anyway. I didn't see this one in theatres like the first one. I wasn't even aware that there was a sequel until the Turbo season was well under way. Gone are the PVC/metal costumes and CGI Zords. In this big screen season premiere (this one actally leads into the beginning of the new season) we lose the second Mighty Morphin Red Ranger/Blue Zeo Ranger Rocky (due to a real-life injury from the Zeo season) and what do we gain? Is it a worthy successor like he was for Jason? Absolutely not! We get a kid! This is one of two things that bothered me. Like I said in a previous review, they included a twelve-year old so the kids at home could have someone to identify with. While every kid who was into the original series did want to be a Ranger (myself included), my suspension of disbelief couldn't believe it. Maybe if the producers hadn't made David Yost (Billy) upset during the Zeo season because they reduced his role causing his departure, maybe he could've made a triumphant return as the Blue Ranger again. Second, I was never a fan of the switch to cars as the Zords over animals, it just looks bland and unimaginative. I also don't get why they had to switch to the Turbo powers anyway. Were Divatox's forces far too powerful for them? Or was Kat's fall into the water just too much of a strain on the Zeo Crystal? At any rate, a little explaination, as others have said, would've been nice. However the positive outways the negative. Divatox was such a great villain, reminding me of Rita Repulsa (who makes a cameo with husband Lord Zedd and tries to give the newbie a bit of advice, only to fall on deaf ears). She's far more enjoyable than the Machine Empire from the Zeo season though Hilary Shepard Turner, who plays her in the film with energy and wit and would return later in the season, exits on maternity leave and is replaced by Carol Hoyt for the majority of the Turbo season (though Hoyt was good, Turner was better as she's the one I saw first. Not much of a reason but its mine). The return of Jason and Kimberly was welcome but it was a shame they really didn't get in on the action as much as I would've liked (despite the fact that they do become evil and get to beat the Rangers). And look for the Maligore costume to resurface during Power Rangers in Space, only instead he'll be called Dark Spectre (even Divatox mentions the similarity). All in all, it was an enjoyable film that kept me entertained. Sadly, not even Divatox was enough, as Turbo would prove to be the last season of the series I watched on a regular basis, as they switched out the senior Rangers for newer, blander (though I did like TJ and Carlos) characters and I was growing tired (and older) of the repetitive plots. But from what I hear, many kids who grew up with series stopped watching either before, during or after Turbo, which has garned the distinction of being the season that almost got Power Rangers cancelled. I ordered this and another Power Rangers Movie for my daughter for Christmas. She was very happy. The package arrived well before the promised due date in perfect condition. Average Rating:![]() |

The Best of the Power Rangers - The Ultimate RangersReviewsIt's the Power Rangers, if you have a boy under 10 he will like it. I grew up with the original MMPR and watched on and off until "Countdown to Destruction" and have occasionally watched an episode here and there just to see what's happening (more recently tuned in to pretty much the whole season of "Dino Thunder" mainly because it featured the return of Tommy and watched the entire season of RPM, which was actually one of the better out of the Disney years). When I found out about this I was excited because I thought it would have several from the original series. I was wrong. I mean, where is the A-list material: there's an excellent evil twin episode in "Mighty Morphin Mutants", The Evil Green Ranger storyline, the two-part episodes "The Green Candle", "Doomsday" and "Return of an Old Friend" (season one), "The Mutiny", "Green No More", "The Power Transfer", "The Wedding", "Return of the Green Ranger" (from season two), "Ninja Quest", "Changing of the Zords", "A Different Shade of Pink", "Master Vile and the Metallic Armor", "Hogday Afternoon" (from season 3), "A Zeo Beginning", "Revelations of Gold" and "Golden Homecoming" and "King For a Day" (Zeo), "Shift into Turbo", "Passing the Torch" "Clash of the Megazords" and "Chase into Space" (Turbo), I really can't remember the "Space" episodes that well, but still all of these mentioned episodes were groundbreaking for the series many of these are fan-favorites (if not my own personal favorites). From this DVD, the only two episodes I ever recall watching in my lifetime are: White Light- While the first season will always remain close to my heart, the second was good too. New villains, new Zords and eventually new Ranger replacements. Thank God they went with this one (though the 3-part season opener "The Mutiny" was better). I felt like a kid again and got really excited when the rockin' theme kicked in when they morphed and summoned the Zords. It was great to sit down and watch the original team in action. Lord Zedd truly was a great villain and was such a shame that he was tremendously toned down because parents deemed him "too evil". How can a villain be too evil? And of course a treat to see original villain Rita Repulsa who would make a return later this season. Countdown to Destruction- When I saw this back in '98 or '99, I was blown away! Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, the Machine Empire, Divatox and Astronema are attacking the universe featuring cameos by the Aquatian Rangers (from season 3 of MMPR), the Gold Ranger (Zeo) and the Phantom Ranger and Blue Senturion (Turbo). Sad that Zordon had to die but in doing so, eradicated all evil. This is THE most epic episode that the series has put out and from I've seen, nothing will top it. I mean, these episodes wrapped up six years worth of story, villains and characters. A very emotional episode for most fans of the series, along with me. A part of my childhood ended when this episode aired. And after that was when I stopped watching all together as I literally thought that was the end of the series. A little cliche to say this but CtD is THE best out of the series and my favorite episode from the whole series. How do the other episodes hold up to these? Except for one, not that well. Save for one episode (which I vaguely remember anyways), I never saw "Lost Galaxy" before this and thank God this was a team-up episode (so it stands alone from the rest of the season arc) and I wouldn't have latched on to the very quick and rushed story. And judging from the ending, this DVD should've included the other two parts to this obvious three part episode. Prior to this DVD, I also never saw "Lightspeed Rescue" and from what I've read, this was the weakest of all Power Ranger incarnations. The Red Ranger was stiff, the Yellow Ranger didn't know how to act and there was no possible way (judging from the flashback to the last episode of "Lost Galaxy") that Trakeena could've survived that explosion. As for the last episode from "Wild Force": I WAS IMPRESSED! Not with the then-current Red Ranger mind you but the fact that TEN RED RANGERS TEAM UP to fight a long thought defeated enemy. Though this did deserve a two-part story, I was still delighted with Bulk and Skull's cameo and it was great to see Jason and Tommy again. And the fact that they reuse all the old morphing sequences (instead of creating new ones so they match with the current trend [if any old Power Ranger fans read this, look up the second part of the two part episode "Once a Ranger" from "Operation Overdrive" and you'll get what I mean) It was a great nostalgia factor for me to have so many past people and adventures referenced. And I found this humorous (as I watched the spin-off) that the remaining generals of the Machine Empire are made up of recycled costumes from "Big Bad Beetleborgs". Though I will admit, it was a cop-out for Serpenterra to be destroyed (when none of the much larger Thunderzords from season 2 could) by a little rinky dink motorcycle. To conclude this rather long winded review, if it wasn't for "Lost Galaxy" and "Lightspeed Rescue", this would be getting five stars. And a shame that, after 2009, the Rangers will meet their match. Not by Rita, Zedd, Mesogog or Venjix, but by the most evil corporation ever; Disney! And I'd say that they're bringing back the original series would be a good thing but for those who have seen these "brilliant" re-versioned episodes, it isn't. And for those who haven't seen or heard about the old show returning, be warned: you may watch it for the nostalgic value but you will learn that the evil Disney has pretty much destroyed the childhood of everyone who has ever liked this franchise. If season sets are released or if they plan on re-airing the rest of the series, I can only hope that Disney hasn't tainted them with Batman-esque effects. My son loves this movie. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this over the Christmas holidays. It arrived in perfect condition. Thanks. Lisa It is Oct. 14 and I have not received this item. Should it really take a month to process this order? This DVD was I think the first Power Rangers DVD. I will review each of the episodes individually, but not say what they are about because I'm too lazy to type it and the plots of the episodes have been written several times in the other reviews. White Light:3 stars. The rangers don't morph enough, and when they're not morphed, it's pretty boring. However, the battle scenes are good, and it is so emotional when the other rangers discover the identity of the white ranger. Countdown to Destruction:4 stars. Probably one of the most emotional episodes on the whole Power Ranger series. To The Tenth Power:5 stars. Best episode on this DVD. It's funny when Kai says "it can't be!' And then Damon replies "Oh yes it can." When they see the space rangers. Trakeena's Revenge:1 star. This was just plain pathetic. There wasn't a single fun part in this episode. They should have had the girl kidnapped and the mother worried. Forever Red:3 stars. This episode is not all it's cracked up to be. Average Rating:![]() |

STAY ALERT Military Caffeine Energy Gum - CINNAMON - TRAY (24 packs 5pc) 100 mg Caffeine per piece - now available in SPEARMINTReviewsI'm the type of person who uses caffeine as a drug to stay focused. My friend, who was former military, gave me a pack of these to try. Let me just say that the military money gets results! This was fact acting, small, and cheap. It works out to about $0.25 a cup of coffee- each gum has 100mg caffeine (5 pieces per packet, 24 packs per box). This destroys any other caffeinated products I've ever tried- it beats coffee for price and ease of use. It beats jolt gum cause it has 6x the amount of caffeine jolt does. It beats energy drinks because they are so expensive and loaded with TONS of sugar. These things are extremely portable- just carry in your pocket (they were meant for military!). Great for law enforcement to have in the war bag to stay awake in the field when you are stuck on a call or stakeout. A friend who is in vet school loves these cause they have to stay alert and study so much. To be honest, you don't buy stuff like this for taste. The first minute of these things you just taste the sugar and flavoring, but after that the bitter taste of the caffeine starts to be come apparent. The taste comes out slowly at first, and never completely overpowering, but anyone chewing this just to enjoy gum, and not as a tool to stay awake, would never chose this gum over any other gum in the world for flavor. That being said, the taste isn't terrible. I've had all 5 flavors. The Cinnamon is the worst, and unless you are a fan of big red or gum like that I would avoid it (I don't like Cinnamon flavor). IMO, the Spearmint flavor tastes the best at first (only slightly better than Arctic Mint), but then the caffeine is more noticeable with Spearmint in the end than with Arctic Mint flavor. Overall, if you are going for the best overall flavor experience I chose Arctic Mint. I cannot recommend these enough. They issued us Stay Alert gum when I was serving in Iraq in 2005 and it quickly became a favorite of my whole unit. My current job requires long hours so when I saw it available here I couldn't get my hands on it quick enough. Fair warning though the "do not take more then" is no joke. Works great with 100mg of caffeine in each piece but taste is disgusting. I would have given it a 5 if the taste was better. I have caffeine related products out of the ying-yang, and this seems to work the best for me. Okay, so the taste isn't too great, but a small price to pay. My biggest concern is keeping it away for our kids b/c our 5-year old loves gum, and I certainly don't want him getting into this! "Stay Alert Caffeine Supplement Gum" was designed for use by the U.S. Army in situations where soldiers were fatigued but having a cup of coffee was out of the question. This reviewer uses it to restore alertness during long drives, long meetings, and sometimes early morning hikes. The gum is coated with a cinnamon flavor shell which has a strong taste. The gum itself is easy chewed for a few minutes for increased alertness. A second piece can be chewed if the first doesn't quite do the trick. A package with five pieces of gum fits easily into a pocket. The package warns against having more than one or two pieces at a time; it is not a substitute for real rest. Prolonged chewing can leave your mouth dried out. Exceeding the recommended dosage can leave your heart racing from caffeine overload. "Stay Alert Gum" is highly recommended as a substitute for a cup of coffee or soda in overcoming minor fatigue. Average Rating:![]() |

STAY ALERT Military Caffeine Energy Gum - CINNAMON - SIX PACK (6 packs 5pc) - 100 mg Caffeine per piece -- now available in SPEARMINTReviewsI use this product for my early morning workouts (mostly running), so I need an energy boost to get going. This gum provides the boost I need, and it helps me to have a more productive workout. The cinnamon flavor lasts an entire workout (usually an hour). There is a slight bitter caffeine taste, but that doesn't affect the overall flavor. It's a good product that I'll keep on buying. Works great with 100mg of caffeine in each piece but taste is disgusting. I would have given it a 5 if the taste was better. The caffeine gum is a great solution for drowsiness on long drives. As previous reviewers have noted, it becomes a little bitter after the first 5 minutes, but I just take small bites off another piece of cinnamon gum to overcome this. I recieved this package in a nice sealed envelope from the 'stay alert group' First with the taste. There are many people who can't handle the taste of this gum and spit it out right away. I don't find the taste too bad actually. The first minute of chewing the gum tastes just like any other cinnamin gum. After the first minute its bitter caffine heaven from there. Nothing too repulsive, but people with weak taste tolerance should avoid this flavor. Included in my package was a sample of their new flavor "arctic mint" which i enjoyed more than the cinnamin and would recommend it. Now i tried this gum while i was fully alert and active, and i didn't feel much different. A bit jittery, and lost my appetite. Other instances, i took the gum while i couldn't stay awake in class. Head bobbing and all. And within 5 minutes of chewing the gum, i felt the effects strongly. Light headed, didn't feel the need to sleep, jittery, and the slight need to run around. All in all, i recommend this gum. It may work for some people stronger than others but you'll never know until you try it. I found it mediocrely effective in keeping me alert and awake. I have yet to chew two peices at once. Recieved product in new condition. Fast shipping! Will order from again as I need to stock-up! Thank you! Average Rating:![]() |

Freeplay Ranger AM/FM Small Radio - Blue (BB-024-AUS-00-FO)ReviewsThis is a great gift for any man who doesn't want to use earphones when out in the yard or in the garage. It can go anywhere and doesn't need batteries. It's also a great emergency radio for the family. I have owned two, and have loved em both. one was stollen from a jobsite. It will run for hours on a few cranks. Will charge itself in bright light, does not need sun, and has a built in battery you can charge from a wall adapter (included), and will play music pretty loud with good reproduction. Im a Plumber and take mine everywhere. People always ask about it, and after checking it out, need to know where to get one for themselves. many on the market, Ive tried three different ones...this is the best. I have the older Outrider version, the blue and orange are the new Ranger versions. Anyways, I got it for Christmas about 3-4 years ago. I use it 7 days a week, everyday since I got it. I love it. I used to take it to work, where it was dropped from 8ft on to concrete. It bounced pretty good, but kept playing. I use the wall outlet to charge it mostly. I listen at night now to talk radio for a few hours before bed. I am looking to buy another to leave at work now. Cant say enough about this little gem. It aint a boom box, no cd player, no mp3s, aint very loud, yet loud enough for me. Dont expect that, but it is solid! I only use my radio to listen to talk radio at work and I always listen to the same station. At first I would have to slightly adjust it every few days (I guess it got bumped around). After about 5 months the knob got loose and I couldn't tune it as easily. Today it was nearly impossible to move the dial, but I got it tuned in eventually. I'll probably have to crack it open and try to fix it before long. I would've thought the least used part of the radio would last the longest. Obviously the design is a little flawed. I almost never use the crank but I tried it yesterday, just because, and turning it was a lot harder than I remember. The crank also fit into it's slot a lot tighter than I remember. It seems like my radio was slightly warped. I don't know if all of my problems stem from the same source, but just to be safe I recommend you DON'T leave it in the heat for extended periods. Putting in a house window may be okay, but in a car window is probably a bad idea. This is more my fault than theirs so it didn't effect my rating. Everything else about the radio is great, so if you think you'll take better care of it than I did this is the radio for you. Oh, and I wish it had an LED indicator for signal strength. I was given this as a gift several years ago and have been surprised by it s durability. It has been dropped several times and once was left outside in the rain all night and still works perfectly. If using outside in sun the built in solar panel keeps the battery charged with out having to crank it and never having to buy batteries saves a lot of money. Very handy radio and has good reception of distant stations. Average Rating:![]() |

Power Ranger Deluxe Megazord Dino MegazordReviewsAmazon.com's service was excellent as usual. I needed it there in a real short amount of time and it ws there a day early. The product is excellent as advertised. That is why I continue to buy from Amazon.com Thanks, Bob Alrighty so it's almost 2010 and I'm happy to say that it's Morphin Time again for Bandai! Now I already own the original 1993 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord (bought back in the day) so as a long time fan I had no problem in purchasing the 2009 version at Target for $[...]. But let's review shall we? Now this Megazord, the original Mighty Morphin Dino Megazord, is a pretty solid toy by itself. Like most megazords it is made up of 5 individual zords that combine into one big one. Each of the zords are pretty well built. Tyrannosaurus' legs are a little clicky but that's for stability I suppose. I was worried about Tank Mode when I saw the new knee connections for the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord but it forms it perfectly. Compared to the original the Megazord is more streamlined and less bulky but the zords are smaller. Though they have fewer stickers than the original, the ones provided are very show accurate. Another plus is that despite being about shoulder-high to the original, Bandai made its legs longer so it looks more proportioned. It's even more in scale with the 1993 DragonZord! No chrome or moving wheels but that's kind of a minor point. Another retool is that it makes use of the new Vehicle Zord System. The arms and legs can be interchanged with the Dino Cycles and Zord Vehicles opening up several new modes. Look forward to how the DragonZord will utilize this system when it releases. So overall it's a solid toy and fun even without the other vehicles. The Pterodactyl's legs are a bit small though so you may want to keep this for older kids. But if you've never owned the original Megazord this might be a good choice at a good price. Thw 1993 version puts this toy to shame! It's cheap flimsy and will break easily,The wheels on the triceratops and tiger do not even roll they are there for show which makes the tank mode useless I wouldnt pay more than $15 for it, i paid 30 at toys r us, and regret it. I would rather pay like $80 if they re released the original. Average Rating:![]() |

Power Ranger RPM Deluxe Formula Megazord Mach MegazordReviewsI was very impressed with the setup. The Falcon Copter's head piece(the part that overlaps the copter itself) as are the wings of the whale zord were a little tricky to get latched in the right place, but it was worth the work and the wait to bring together the sky rev megazord. The Falcon and Tiger zords are a little tricky to get in the right place on the High Octane Megazord but, overall, I was pleased. I was also pleased at how fast the product was delivered to where I live. I just got the Mach Megazord from Amazon.com and i have to say its great once u have all the other sets the Rpm High Octane,Velecomax, and Paleomax u can make the great 1st 12 piece ultrazord this is a must own for any Power Rangers Fan. PINK RANGER, RED RANGER, BLUE RANGER, LORD ZEDD, AND GREEN RANGER |
A Power Ranger is a fictional individual who "Morphs" from an unpowered form into a powerful superhero usually wearing a brightly colored battle suit usually made of spandex featuring a helmet with an opaque visor. In many cases, the helmet serves to protect his or her secret identity. (In some cases, more powerful Rangers may have extra shielding on their suit to protect them from strong blows.)
A morphed Ranger generally possesses superhuman strength, durability, and hand-to-hand combat ability; unmorphed Rangers may possess other innate abilities such as telekinesis, super speed, invisibility that are usually not directly related to his or her Ranger powers.
Rangers appear to retain their original physiology beneath their suits when in morphed form, as Rangers' helmets have been seen removed or broken on numerous occasions, revealing his or her natural form underneath. Helmets aside, the suits are donned and removed nearly instantaneously with a glow of light or some other effect. Sometimes, Rangers "de-morph" involuntarily due to powerful physical attacks.
Rangers regularly operate in teams of five, with a special sixth Ranger frequently joining the team part way into the series; More recently a core team of three will later be joined by additional Rangers. Each Ranger's suit and energy spectrum will match a specific color, with red, yellow, and blue being joined by some combination of pink, green, black, or white. Rangers may be named after their respective colors, such as Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, etc., but numbers or other names may also be used. There is usually no more than one Ranger of a given color on a team, but exceptions of this rule are generally given alternate names (in Time Force, there were two Rangers with red-colored costumes; the first was the Red Time Force Ranger, the second was the Quantum Ranger). Each team's costumes are nearly identical aside from color, helmet design (most notably the shape of the opaque visor) and perhaps a numerical designation. Any additional Rangers will regularly have additional costume modifications, usually some form of additional armor.
The Rangers' color designation also influences their wardrobe throughout the series, as their civilian clothing is often the same color as their Ranger color. This correlation was joked about in Dino Thunder when Tommy Oliver (a former Green Ranger, White Ranger, and twice a Red Ranger) became the new Black Dino Ranger; he said that he had to go shopping because he did not own enough black-colored clothing.
