Vintage Pull Toys
A pull toy for pets having a cord extending longitudinally through an axial bore in a cylindrical body which may be grasped by the teeth of a dog, cat or other animal at either end of the cylindrical body. The cord is arranged to slidably move a predetermined distance through the cylindrical body upon tugging of the pet before it is secured to the cylindrical body after which the pet must move the entire weight of the toy.

KONG Tug Dog Toy, Red/BlackReviewsThis tug is made of a hard plastic material with the black rubber connecting the two rings and protecting the ends of the toy. My lab mix just has no interest in this toy. I think it is because she does not like the hard plastic on the toy. When playing with other dogs, she hesitates playing tug with this toy and quickly finds something else to focus on. She is even reluctant to pick it up when I tell her to fetch. In general, the Kong toys have be a hit with my dog. This tug, however, is not a success in my home. We have a 70 pound male boxer who is very spoiled with every toy imaginable! We've had this toy for him since he was a puppy. It's not his favorite, but if you pick it up and get him to tug on it he plays right along! It's held up very well! My dog ate the black plastic off the handles within minutes of getting the toy. We had to throw it out. Good idea, but should be all once peice. Looks to be well constructed, and my dog loves to play tug, however he won't touch this toy for some reason. I think it's because it may be uncomfortable in his mouth. In any event, this might be a great product for the right dog, but my American Pitbull won't touch it after trying it once or twice. Odd, since he'll play tug with just about anything else. I will say his regular Kong is his favorite toy, but perhaps they missed the boat on this toy. We only let our soft mouthed lab/pit have this to play tug with us, afterward it was put away from her reach. Even so this toy broke (the red part snapped) within a week. Kali loves to play tug but this toy was difficult for her to grab, her teeth would slide off of the red part and the black rubber part was too small for her to get a grip; which would incite her to snap to get it back (snapping is a no no, even in play). What ever happened to the solid rubber/nylon tug? That old toy was lost before it was destroyed! Average Rating:![]() |

Nickelodeon's Dora Chair Desk with Pull out under the Seat Storage BinReviewsMy Granddaughter loves this chair. She hides everything in the pull-out drawer at the bottom. I noticed she stays still longer too. I would request this chair to anyone who has an active small one. We purchased the Dora Chair Desk for my 2-year old granddaughter for Christmas. She loves it. It is very durable and sturdy and was very easy to assemble. My 20 month old daughter absolutely loves this chair and uses it everyday to eat her snacks in and to read books or watches tv in. It was straight-forward to assemble and is pretty sturdy and heavy. Rounded edges all over ensure that your child will not bump themselves on it. It doesn't take up much space in our living room which is a definite win in my book. We purchased this looking for a nice sturdy table/chair combo that our 18 month old can't easily tip over and this seems to be the right thing for the job. While the product is only made of particle-board it is still VERY heavy so she can't easily tip it over or move it. Assembly was fairly easy and took about 20 minutes or so. My daughter is able to fit in the seat now with lots of room so I know she'll be able to use this for quite a while. She likes having her own little place to sit and color or watch tv or eat a snack. I like that this takes up less space than other children's table/chair combos that I've seen. Overall a very good purchase - I only wish they made them plainer and simpler without the cartoon charachters all over them. This is a sturdy desk. The 4 year old and 2 year old both use it. It was fairly simple to assemble, and I foresee it providing a few years of enjoyment. Average Rating:![]() |

Darth Vader Shaped 10 1/2in x 10 1/2in Pull String PinataReviewsI was so excited to find this for my daughters "star wars" party. We used a toy lightsaber as a beating stick. The kids loved it, but it took forever to break. All 30 kids got a chance to hit it though, so it worked out well. We got this for our son's second birthday. It is well made and looks really cool. The only down side is I thought it would be bigger. The pinata looked great, but is very poorly designed. It's made in two parts and the bottom part which holds the candy busted off on the very first solid hit and the fun was all over. I bought this for my 7 year old Godson's birthday party. He and his friends really like Star Wars, and what 7 year old wouldn't enjoy a pinata! It was a lot of fun to see how much the kids enjoyed the whole experience. Average Rating:![]() |

Vtech - Pull & Lights PhoneReviewsThis toy gets 5 stars from me. Purchased online for Christmas and was surprised to see the phone when it came in. Very nice toy, durable with big base & buttons. Easy slide feature to change buttons from noise, to songs, to games. 7 mth old grandchild loves it and plays with it often. Especially since he is always going for things with cords, and this item helps cure that curiosity. His 4 year old brother loves it too. He sings along with the toy, does counting, and helps his brother play the "find the anminal" game with the buttons. Great value for the $. I definitely would buy this again for any young child as a gift. I got this as part of my daughter's 1st b-day gifts. She likes it just fine, I would have given it a five star, but I agree, the major design flaw is that the on/off key is to the right of the zero. She turns it on and off constantly and sometimes turns it off when she doesn't want it to be off. I bought this toy to use in my work as an infant teacher, working with children who have developmental delays. This toy is sturdy, captures the interest of my little clients and has a variety of ways to be played with. The only drawback is the location of the on/off switch. It is located too close to the bottom of the toy and can be accidentally turned off during play. The lights and songs are attractive to young children and the animal sounds are fairly realistic. I am very happy to have purchased this toy. I bought this for my god-daughter, and its so cute and educational. I always buy her educational toys, and she definitely likes this one!! The toy has nice features that teach the concepts of numbers, animal sound recognition, hand eye coordination, plus fun tunes that my 12 months old daughter loves to dance to. However the cord that is attached to the receiver of the phone is too short for my daughter to actually pick it up and use it as a phone receiver. The on/off button is located at a bad spot that makes unintentional turning "on and off" of the toy in the middle of the play session a frequent occurrence. The weight distribution makes it a poor pull toy that topples easily. I like this as a musical toy, but would purchase another toy phone in the future for my daughter to do imaginary phone plays. Pull Off Single Shot Caps by ParrisReviewsI don't know how accurate this review will be with regard to what you buy, because the caps we got were not exactly what is pictures. (I mean, I'm sure several people make these standard caps and they send whatever they have knowing they're interchangeable). The caps we got, when ordering these, were very good. (I mean, first decide if you want a single shot gun/caps. I like it because it slows cap use, but beware of younger kids' need to have help reloading every 30 seconds). The caps had very few duds, maybe 1 in 30. Most also caused a small (safe) spark and a little smoke, which the kids found quite exciting. (5-stars overall, because they do the advertized job well; 3-stars on fun because they are fun for what they are, but I'm sure kids would prefer a multi-shot cap system; they aren't educational, but 4-stars on durable because of the low dud count). Plush Pull-a-long Dexter Dog BackpackReviewsOur 2 year-old granddaughter gets to use this when she comes over to stay overnight. She really enjoys using it. However, I wish it was bigger, it is really too small for more then a overnight stay. Bought this for my 3 1/2 year-old daughter and she loves it. It is very cute and the fabric is very soft. Just be sure to look carefully at the dimensions. It is NOT a standard-size backpack...it is much smaller and easy for a pre-schooler to navigate but it doesn't hold much. Average Rating:![]() |

Fisher-Price Corn Popper Push ToyReviewsBought it for nephew. He loveeeees it. For the first several days, he'd play with it as long as he'd be up. :) The constant popping sound may be a bit annoying for parents or others nearby, but that doesn't matter because your your kid will love it. This toy has been around for years and i wanted my grandson to have as much fun playing with it as his mother did. Good price and service, my grand daughter loves to push it all over the house, I get such a kick out of watching her play with it. Don't mess with a decade old formula. I've yet to see a kid who doesn't like one of these. They're pretty durable and the balls don't get caught as with some other "newer" models. My boy loves chasing the dog around with this giving both of them much needed exercise. This is a great toy from my childhood. My 2 year old had to be dragged away from this toy in the store. Her sister bought if for her for Christmas and she loved it. It is a little noisy but not too bad. All three of my girls love it ranging from 6 to 2 years old. It is great to go back to the basics with some toys. The pushing action is a great learning skill to figure out. I am sure she will love to push it around while I vacuumn. Average Rating:![]() |

This is probably the first toy that (no pun intended) pops into your mind when you hear the name Fisher-Price. Maybe this will jar your memory: the Push Toy Corn Popper has a long, blue handle (well, "long" if you're 3 years old), and rolls along on two brightly colored red/orange wheels while making great popping sounds as it bounces brightly colored balls inside a clear plastic bubble that's mounted above the wheels... |

Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon RedReviewsI PURCHASED THIS WAGON FOR MY GRANDAUGHTER FOR XMAS.SHE AND OUR 3 YR. OLD NEICE SHARED THE WAGON,HAD TOYS IN THE MIDDLE AND THERE WAS STILL SPACE LEFT IN THIS WAGON. IT IS WELL MADE AND THE GIRLS HAVE GREAT FUN RIDING. IT WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND PULLS EASILY. THE SEATBELTS SECURE THE CHILD AND CUP HOLDERS ARE GREAT FOR CUPS AND BOTTLES. THIS WAS A TREMENDOUS PURCHASE. My son states that my granddaughter loves her wagon and they like the durability of it. I bought this from Amazon for my grandson. It was perfect. Easy to assemble, well priced, and he loves it. The fact that it is made of plastic was a plus because it will not rust. can't find much wrong with this wagon at all. Was fairly easy to assemble. Only downfall my husband pointed out was that you can't sit in it and use the handle to roll down a hill and steer it like we could in the "old days!". But I'm sure that's a safety feature. Seems to steer easily and takes turns well. The backrests are a real plus for little tykes. My granddaughter loved hers so bought the new grandson one for Christmas! This was a great Christmas gift for our 3 yr old granddaughter. She hauls her toys and puppy around in it all the time. Average Rating:![]() |

Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary CarReviewsMy husband put this car together for our little boy who was anxious to get in it and see what it can do well after about 45 minutes of hammering and cuting to get the parts to fit right we found out that we had two left axles so no big deal just called the company and got the right one in about three days. In the meantime we just put the left one on as the little guy wanted to go for a ride he enjoyed it and has used it ever since we got it..... Overall the car is great but you will need alot of strenght and patience to put it together as that was a nightmare the instruction sheet was horrible. But gave it 5 stars because my little guy loves it There is nothing that quite compares to the laughter of a child... especially when that child is laughing AT you, while you slave away for more than 2 hours trying to get this impossible beast of a toy put together. Everyone who has complained about the instructions being worthless has been correct. I think a list is in order here: 1. Pieces not labeled 2. Damn near impossible to assemble. Getting the yellow parts into the car was practically a miracle... I'm still not sure how I managed it. 3. There are exposed screws in the 'cup holder' 4. There is no seat belt. 5. The door lock has an exposed screw...and it doesn't do much to lock the door. 6. The handle is pretty useless as a handle. 7. This car is not meant for rough desert terrain... if you live close to a basketball or tennis court, I can see the car functioning well for you, but I'm not sure how steering will work on dirt. 8. Those little wheels aren't going to last on dirt. Two things that were specific to the car I purchased - 1. the eyes were broken 2. The 'little tikes' logo on the back yellow things was upside down. There is only one way to assemble these parts... So why is this beast not a pile of melted goo in my front yard?! My kid loves it. He REALLY loves it. I see I'm not the only one who had a hard time assembling this thing! My daughter couldn't wait for me to get it out of the box and assemble it the second it arrived. So, I pulled it out of the box and very quickly figured out it was going to take a lot of time and concentration to get the stupid thing put together. I had to make my daughter go down for her nap and continue working on it. It took me two solid hours to put together! The instructions are very poorly illustrated and difficult to understand. More than once, I thought I'd assembled the wheels incorrectly and tried to remedy the issue by taking them apart. I quickly discovered that once you hammer the bolt on that holds the wheels together, they don't come off . . . even with a sledgehammer, crowbar, whatever! So, that speaks to the durability. It definitely held up to my efforts at assembly without so much as a scratch! That said, make sure you understand the instructions and are 100% sure you are doing it correctly before you proceed. Also, make sure you follow the instructions exactly in order, even if you think your way makes more sense (such as putting the steering wheel on before attaching the roof). You will wind up having to take apart what you did before in order to assemble some other aspect of the car. Also, while the roof supports were difficult to get into their slots, I found the most difficult part of assembling the car to be screwing the screws into their allotted indentations. That's right. You don't even get pre-drilled holes to screw the screws into. Just a slight indentation in the plastic indicating that's where it's supposed to go. It takes quite a bit of elbow grease to get those screws in. I managed to eventually get the top screws in. My hand ached like crazy, I had banged up knuckles from the effort, and one of the screws went in a bit cockeyed, but at least they were in! The bottom screws were a different story. You have to go in from inside the cup holders. With the length of the screws and the length of the screw driver, it is impossible to get the screws in straight or provide enough leverage/pressure to actually puncture the plastic and get the screw in there. I finally had to give up and just wait a couple of days until my husband could do it. In the meantime, my daughter drove around with the screws just hanging out in the cup holder and the back roof supports frequently pulling out of their slots. Even with the pain of assembly, and the quite obvious "mistakes" where the car looks a little funny due to my imperfect assembly (the best I could do!), my daughter is absolutely enamored with her new toy. It has made the biggest hit by far that any toy has ever made in her two years of life. I have had a hard time getting her to come out of the thing! She's been sitting in it to watch movies, driving it all over the house, eating in it, attempting to take it on walks, and even insisted on sleeping with it right beside her the first night she had it. It's worth all the hard work to see her enjoying the toy so much. But I would definitely not give it anything more than three stars after the nightmare my husband and I went through in trying to put the thing together! We just received this adorable little car for our baby's 1st birthday. We were nervous to embark on putting it together after reading all of the horror stories. My husband and I are not the most handy but we really had a fairly easy time putting the car together. I STRONGLY recommend using the assembly video online instead of the paper instructions. I watched it once before we started and then watched/paused as we went along step by step. We only had a little trouble screwing on the roof--be sure to start the screws early as advised by a 'tip' in the video. Really helps to use a drill or electric screwdriver for this part. Another little tip from me: I took all the small parts and laid them out in the box they came in and used a sharpie to label the part's letter--made it easy to grab the one you needed as you go. Othwerise, our baby is LOVING his new car and we are very pleased with our purchase. This car is great and my toddler loves it, however, we thought about chucking it into the garbage can while putting it together. The directions on paper were horrible. The illustrations of what the parts looked like were completely inaccurate. We could not get the pieces to fit together properly, and the wheels were a total pain to put on the car's frame. Our little girl is 20 months and loves the car and plays in it frequently, but it is a little hard for her to move with her feet. There is an option to place a plastic floor board in the car if you would rather just push your child instead of letting them push themselves. Average Rating:![]() |

Felix Travels Back in Time: Includes Six Pull-Out Letters and Fold-Out Map and Time LineReviewsWe knew this product was used, but was under the impression that it would arrive in "gently used" condition. It was missing most of the pull-out letter inserts and even worse, half a page was torn and missing as well. Would never purchase from this company again. This book is perfect for the third grade curriculum that I teach. We are supposed to cover multicultural lessons as stated by the standards. This book lends itself beautifully for this. After purchasing a "Felix" type rabbit for our mascot, I used the book to travel to different countries, conveniently the ones that Felix also visited. By using the activity book that can also be purchased, each child had a world map and we placed stickers as we visited each land that Felix had visited, and also completed activities, and minor research about each country. Rome, one of the places visited was a great introduction to the Olympics that will be happening in Australia. The visit to the land of knights and ladies was perfect for our introduction into fairy tales.(Folk Literature-3rd grade standard)Finally, a visit to an Indian settlement. The Plains Indians is also part of our social studies curriculum. Not only does this book give us a brief insight into many cultures, the students love having a class mascot and can't wait to see what area we will get a peek into next. Sweet little stuffed Felix escaped during a museums visit from Sophie, his fellow from baby times. He started a journey into the past, sending Sophie letters from every station. You can pull out the letters from their envelopes and read about Felix adventures in History. He wondered about the knights in mediveal castles, joined the vikings and send a construction plan from their drageon ships home to Sophie. He met the Red Indians and wrote about the old culture technics developed in the far east. The next letter arrives from greece, explaining the origin of alympiad and the myths. Before travelling home he joined our anchestors in stony times to report their simple life style. My little son especially loved reading about the knights and the vikings. He shared Sophies fear for Felix and her happiness when he retured home, finally. This book is wunderfully written and beaturfully painted. It inspired us to talk and learn about history!
