Little Tikes Sizzle N Serve KitchenReviewsThe Little Tikes Sizzle and Serve kitchen is wonderful! It took about one hour to put the kitchen together but it was worth it. I would suggest either drilling the holes for the screws or punching them out with a sharp point before trying to screw anything together. Everything went together perfectly. I purchased this for my one year old daughter. She already loves to stand up to the sink and loves playing with the food and accessories that came with the kitchen. As always, the order with Amazon was easy and it arrived at my door in less then a week! My two children absolutely love this toy! I have a 10 month od and a 4 year old and they both love to play at this kitchen and have it make the different noises. Their favorite is the grill they love to watch the pretend flames. This kitchen offers enough space for 2-3 children to play at. We love it! We bought this kitchen for our 3-year-old. I write this hastily so another parent does not have the same experience I did. My 10-month-old was able to remove the white plastic ice dispenser knob without any difficulty and fit the ENTIRE piece in his mouth. It could easily obstuct a toddler's airway. It simply slides off the main portion of the ice maker. Beware! As a secondary FYI, the grill portion is supposed to have a "sizzle" sound. However, this feature has never worked for our kitchen. My daughter loves this kitchen. She loves the sounds it makes - the grill, stove, and knobs on the dishwasher and oven. She even makes a few of her own sounds to go along with it. She is only 2, her boy cousin, 5 years old loves it too! Keeps both of them busy for hours. If you are looking for a kitchen is one is for you. Ordering on Amazon was great - never had to leave the comfort of my home or fight the crowds in the parking lot or store for the perfect Christmas gift. Plus, no worrying about how to get it home. Came right to the door with no shipping costs! I had to wait a while after putting this kitchen together to write this review. It was a pain in the behind! The holes weren't drilled, you had to predrill or try and force the screw into the plastic parts with no pilot holes. This left some of the pieces not perfectly straight. One of the pegs that holds the cabinet doors on was broken off, now I have to make a warranty claim to get a new one. Finally, on my list of complaints, there are several pieces that DO have holes drilled for them with an anchor type peg on the piece that is to be inserted. These are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to actually get put together. The knobs on the oven/dishwasher still are not completely inserted. About five different people have tried everything to get them in and they won't go completely in, they are on a little crooked, but wont' come out, so I'll live with it, there's no other choice. I contacted Little Tikes and asked what how to fix them, no response. Very frusterating, I expected more out of Little Tikes. Now for the actual use of the toy. It's great. Pros: -Big enough for both kids to play with it at the same time -Kids love the noises the grill and stove make -Plenty of different things to keep them entertained -Taller and bigger than most kitches for taller kids -Nice looking enough that I don't even mind having it in my real kitchen -Plenty of storage for all the kitchen stuff (food, dishes, etc.) -Sturdy: both kids stand on the oven/dishwasher doors and they haven't broken yet -Grill is a nice touch -Lots of accessories Cons: -Assembly was terrible -Holes weren't predrilled -Easy to get pieces put together not straight -No customer assistance for putting together -Pieces arrived broken -Liners don't stay in the baskets, I just took them out for good Overall, I feel this is a good kitchen for the money, just be prepared for bumps in the road and PERMANENT small imperfections with no help from Little Tikes.
