Vandor Large Tin Tote, Star TrekReviewsThis is so wonderful. Number one, it's a way to flaunt Star Trek on one's person like there's no tomorrow. Number two, it holds my lunch. It is very durable. I was looking for a lunchbox for my daughter that would be metal, bix, and without being to babyish or too idoly (like Hannah Montana). This one was the only solution for my search - Star Trek! Nice box!!! Average Rating:![]() |

Star Trek - The Next Generation, Episode 70: The Most Toys [VHS]ReviewsHis crewmates think he has died in a shuttle accident; but Data has been kidnapped. A wandering trader, Kivas Fajo, engineered the shuttle explosion to cover his acquisition of Data for his collection of unique, priceless objects. Data is used to being able to handle any situation. But when he discovers that Fajo seems to have thought of every contingency to block his escape - and worse, that his captor has absolutely no morals whatsoever - he is forced to realise how desperate his situation is. But how far can an emotionless android be pushed?"The Most Toys" is a very well constructed episode; tight and well-written, even the brief scenes adding something important to the whole. The acting is excellent, from Brent Spiner, Saul Rubinek, and the actress who plays Varria. There are some affecting moments: Geordi's comment on what he thought Data's fate would be; Worf's reflection that his promotions have come after his colleagues' deaths; Varria's explanation of why she keeps working for Fajo; Fajo's realisation that he can still be surprised, by himself as well as others. There is a claustrophobic feel to the scenes on Fajo's ship, and as avenue after avenue is closed to Data, as the tension mounts, you can really understand why the climax develops as it does. The last few minutes of "The Most Toys" are shocking in more ways than one. That the implications of this story were never explored is a fault of Star Trek: TNG as a whole, not of this episode. When I first started watching this episode, I thought that it was going to be routine with little or no redeeming value. However, as the story developed, I became involved in this story of a creature totally devoid of conscience.Saul Rubinek, a well-respected actor of stage and screen, is brilliant in the role of Kivas Fajo, a collector of one-of-a-kind items. He considers Data, as well as all that he desires, to be nothing more than acquisitions, deserving only for display in his compound. Fajo will stop at nothing to keep his "possessions". His most malevolent act made me want a speedy demise for this heinous beast."Monsters" don't always have multiple legs or horns Average Rating:![]() |

Kivas Fajo is a man with "no moral difficulties. At all." Saul Rubinek plays him with the ruthlessness and charm of Dr. Mengele. (By all accounts, Mengele could be very charming.) And like Mengele, Fajo collects things that please him, such as the Rejac Crystal and Data... |

Star Trek Limited Edition Replica Gift Set (Three-Disc + Digital Copy) (Amazon Exclusive) [Blu-ray]ReviewsI ordered this set back in November. I didn't open it until the beginning of March because I didn't have a Blu-ray player until then. I was excited to crack the box open and proudly display the replica of the Enterprise on my desk, but as soon as I pulled it out of the styrofoam packaging, one of the warp engine nacelles just fell off. My bad for not opening it sooner, but now Amazon does not have any of these left to replace it and I'm left with a ship without an engine. Poor quality control here folks!! The Blu-ray is awesome, however, so don't waste your money on this set, just buy the Blu-ray and wait until better models are available (which I hope is someday soon). I am completely happy with this. The ship is beautiful and heavy. The movie is GREAT!!!! I love the re-boot. I've finally received my copy after pre-ordering in September! My first set got lost in the post but Amazon customer service has been fantastic. They refunded the original delivery cost as it was late then sent me another one, upgraded to priority shipping at no extra cost. This took 3 days to arrive at my door from my email to customer services and meant I didn't have pay any tax or customs charges to import to the UK! Now for the set. It's fantastic. The quality of the Blu Ray is eye popping and the movie is, of course, awesome. The replica Enterprise is exquisite, a real quality (and heavy!) item. Beautifully machined with a sumptuous brushed finish and subtle black shading to accentuate the details, it has pride of place on my desk. It would be nice if the certificates were numbered, as others have mentioned, but I'm still very happy with my purchase. Well done Amazon. Yes, I am the fanatic they make these for. With all the gift sets they made for the blu ray release of this movie, I have three copies. This one is really nice. It comes with a very detailed pewter replica of the famous starship. Great collectable with a great movie. If you collect models or miniatures, this one is for you. First.. I have to say I really hate that J. J. Abrams decided to create a "parallel universe" Star Trek where he could just do whatever he wanted. It was a cop-out. He should have just done a reboot/retcon and told the old trekkies to lump it. That said - this is the first Star Trek movie in probably over 10 years that didn't just completely disgust me. I enjoyed watching it. The TNG movies were all abominations and slowpaced and plodding. At least this was a fun ride from start to end. For that it's worth watching and worth having in my movie collection. Average Rating:![]() |

Star Trek (Limited Edition Blu-ray Gift Set with Replica Starfleet Division Badges) [Blu-ray]ReviewsThis was hugely enjoyable. The new cast did a beautiful job portraying our favorite Star Trek characters and the story line was riveting. I was worried about bringing in new actors but they carried it off so well I can't imagine them not being in the next Star Trek movie. The special effects were perfect. I thought I was on a ship in space. There wasn't anything to distract from the story. The new crew are just great but I think the best new actor played Scotty. Buy this movie. You won't regret it. This was my first blu-ray purchase and I couldn't be happier. I absolutely loved this movie. It grabs you from the opening scene and holds you until the end. The opening sequence is incredible! The special effects, the acting and best of all, the music. The escape scene from the Kelvin into the Star Trek intro still gives me chills when I watch it. A great movie. Reinventing Star Trek, a much adored franchise by all of its dedicated fans, was a brave move to make and one that few had ever dared and J.J. Abrams finally took the dream to the next step. Abrams, producer of the much loved Lost TV show seems to be the next big name in the moviemaking business and is truly a man with great talent. His last film, Cloverfield, was a massive blockbuster success and this, regardless of actual story quality, was bound to achieve the same. Luckily, this wasn't just an SFX bonanza with little substance. It had a story you could enjoy and actors that understood and appreciated the characters they were portraying. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto take on the most important roles as both Spock and Captain James T. Kirk, yet they play the roles with ease and affection and will undoubtedly take the roles into new and special areas. Established in an alternate reality through the medium of black holes, it must first be explained that this isn't a movie that follows any of the major continuity of the original series. This gives the writers the freedom to mess with the timeline as much as they want without upsetting the die hard Trek fans too much, although I'm sure they'll be upset by something. The story follows a renegade Romulan, Nero on a quest to get his revenge against Spock (not the young Spock, future Spock) for the destruction of his homeworld by a supernova which he blames on Spock. The revenge which he will get is by destroying Vulcan and then moving on to destroy Earth when he's done. This also follows the formation of the Enterprise crew as its pending Captain, James T. Kirk as they progress through Starfleet academy and move into space. The overall plot itself is, admittedly, quite basic, but it's the characters and the actors that play them which make the movie worthwhile. Chris Pine as the arrogant James T. Kirk seem the perfect fit as Pine approaches the character with a youthful ambition to succeed but a reckless mind that is easily sidetracked. Zachary Quinto took on the role that would undoubtedly draw the most criticism had it been played wrong, but thankfully portrayed Spock with a confidence befitting of the character itself. He expresses the perfect balance of emotion and logic that you would expect from the half human, half Vulcan character. There was not just pressure on Quinto because he was playing the much loved character, but also he was acting alongside the man who played the original character, Leonard Nimoy. The co-stars of Karl Urban as `Bones' McCoy, Zoey Saldana as Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty and John Cho as Sulu do well in their respective roles. Anton Yelchin as Pavel Checkov, however, does considerably well in mimicking the accent of the original character but adds a fresh charm to it as his role progresses through the latter half of the picture. Eric Bana is bland and forgettable as the antagonist of the film which is a disappointment as Bana can really make a role his own when he wants to, but he struggled with this which is a shame. The look of the film, as you would expect from an Abrams film is superb. It's a slick looking film, and as you would expect, presents the futuristic atmosphere perfectly. They remain generally loyal to the overall look of the Star Trek universe when it comes to the diversity of the Alien races, the uniforms, ships and weapons. The new film has even managed to recreate some of the subtle humour familiar with the original series, along with the infamous redshirt character dying which was something quite familiar in the old series. Overall Abrams has done well. It's been a welcome reboot to what some may have considered a dying franchise, but there is one downside to this new Star Trek franchise and that is it may have been made too big, too epic to make a return to the small screen for a reboot series. If the movie cast could be drawn in to star in a series, then there's no doubt that it would be a huge success, especially if Abrams were at the helm. However, that is very unlikely and I do think that with this movie, we have seen the last of the great Star Trek series'. An impressive film with some amazing special effects and a young, talented cast which cannot go wrong with any film fan. It's only logical that you should witness it first hand. Despite some week points on the history, this is an wonderful movie and this 3 disc version go deep on the Star Trek universe, and it is a must have item for every movie collection. The extras worth it. Image is outstanding, one of the best I ever saw and the same for the sound. I have watched several times, and still like it very much every time. The actors were just perfect and the dialogs memorable. J J Abrams did a very good job, and in my opnion the history is even better than Avatar. I don't know why it did not get, at least, more Oscar indications, maybe it was just prejudice... Buy this Blu-Ray, you won't regret. Rubies Costume Co. Star Wars Darth Maul LightsaberReviewsThis item was exactly what my son wanted for Christmas, except for the fact that the toy fell apart the very 1st time he played with it. I was able to repair it using a little ingenuity, but as far as the item's quality to price ratio it was definatly sub-par. It broke the first day my son had it. We have put it back together but it isn't very high quality. What can I say. My son was darth maul for Halloween and was so excited to find this light saber. Just waving it around broke it. The pieces flew off in every direction. I know it wasn't a toy but the kid didn't even hit anything with it or duel or anything. Very cheaply made. This is the worst piece of junk toy I have ever purchased for my boys. I was deceived like the other buyer, thinking it was a different product than the Rubies Costume Darth Maul Lightsaber. But, it is exactly the same. The light never worked! The lightsaber pieces fell apart in the first 30 minutes. In our haste and laziness we threw the packaging away. However I am so upset about this product that I plan to write/call the manufacturer to complain. It continually fell apart. We attend about 3 functions with our costumes including trick or treating and my son could not use this toy/prop at all. I kept carrying the parts and pieces around as they fell apart at his school party. It was a mess. I have 2 -7 year old boys so I've bought a lot of toys over the years and this is about as mad as I've been. Please, to all parents just please beware. To collectors, never take this prop out of it's box. NEVER. Thank you. We bought this for our son's Halloween costume, but it succeeded in scaring only us. It broke in several ways within 24 hours of unwrapping it, and never the light never worked to begin with. The extendable saber portions broke off rapidly, and had to be taped together to trick-or-treat with -- after 10 minutes trying to patch the light saber together, our 8-year-old som said "this is the worst Halloween ever." Star Trek USS Enterprise Light Up Cake Topper Decoration SetReviewsI saw this advertised at another website and it looked pretty interesting. I love the new movie, but what I can also be grateful to the new movie for is bringing attention back to the classic series. It seems there are more classic series itms out there than before. Thought this is not an accurate rendition of the ship, it is close enough. And the lights add an interesting touch. The base it snaps into is a nice touch too. A cute, compact, CHEAP, collectable. Well worth the money. I would never consider this a toy. We used it as a lighted cake topper on a half sheet cake and it was perfect. You could use it on a 9"x13" cake but it would fill up most of the area(the picture shows the spacing on the 9" x 13" cake well). The topper is a great collectible for trekkies and a fun topper for the younger set. It was great fun as a cake topper. Average Rating:![]() |

Star Trek: Countdown TPBReviewsMarketed as a prequel to the movie STAR TREK, STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN is a story set within the original ST: TNG universe many years after STAR TREK: NEMESIS. The plot of the story revolves around the characters of Spock and a Romulan miner named Nero. Years have passed since the events of STAR TREK: NEMESIS. Romulus, though still a guarded empire, is on fairly friendly terms with the Federation. After years of careful and strategic planning that eventually alienated from his home world of Vulcan, Spock lives on Romulus as the Federation ambassador. However, a cosmic implosion of the Hobus system threatens the world he now lives upon as well as the past twenty years of his life's work. After being turned down by the Romulan Senate, Spock finds an ally in a deep space miner named Nero, who was present when the Hobus system went supernova. Nero is convinced that what he witnessed threatens the life of all those who live on Romulus and joins Spock on a trip to Vulcan where the technology to save Romulus lies. However, things don't go as planned and Nero turns from being Spock's ally into a most ruthless enemy. As a graphic novel/TPB, STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN is about average. It does feature some nice artwork that, though not overly impressive, still captures the tone and atmosphere of the time period and universe that the story takes place. I found some of the page layouts confusing as they shift from one to two-page layouts in the same pages and that makes it difficult to follow parts of the story. Unlike many Star Trek stories, the sci-fi aspects of the story are rather juvenile and the character development of Nero is quite choppy. I think the unscientific sci-fi is because of this storyline tying in to the movie STAR TREK; some of the action sequences read almost like watching a movie. As for Nero, I just found it really disappointing how there is very little consistency in his character. For instance, he believes the Hobus supernova to be an immediate threat to Romulus, yet he leaves his pregnant wife behind when he leaves with Spock. Why doesn't he make plans for her to at least be traveling? Also, other than his wife and crew (who follow him blindly), Spock is the only person who trusts in Nero. Spock makes Nero a confidant in his plans and shares with him many things. Yet, Spock is the person he holds responsible for the destruction of Romulus. Not only is it not consistent with his character, it also seems something that is below his intelligence. The best thing that STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN does is introducing characters from the Next Generation and tying together some of the loose ends that were left after the rather disappointing end of STAR TREK: NEMESIS. Picard, LaForge, Data, and Worf all have appearances. The writers did an excellent job of interlaying these cameos and believably tying them to the prequel studio-fabricated storyline. Therefore, though STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN might not appeal to people who aren't familiar with Star Trek, it has a lot of appeal for fans, especially TNG fans. In many ways, it's the story that NEMESIS should have been. I loved the JJ Abrahms movie but was a bit in the dark about how exactly it connected with the old universe. This graphic novel explains it well with a cracking story line of it's own. It was released as a teaser for the movie but I think it stands up on it's own two feet regardless of whether you have, have not, intend to or never intend to watch the Star Trek: The Movie. I enjoyed reading this comic prior to the movie, but would have enjoyed the movie just as much without it. If you can borrow the comic from someone else it would certainly be worth it. However, if you are a collector of all things Start Trek, the prequel is worth it. I managed to come across this TPB, in a brick-and-mortar bookstore while waiting to see the Star Trek movie again. It's okay that it gave a visual back-story leading up the the feature film and good for a souvenir. If you want REAL Star Trek, watch REAL Star Trek: the 5 series, and the 10 movies. This stuff (as well as the new movie)is trash. Average Rating:![]() |

Star Trek The CollectiblesReviewsThis is a book of infinite depth and dimension, with an immeasurable wealth of knowledge and personal experience. This book reflects Steve's demonstrative spirit and never ending love and devotion to Star Trek and what Gene Roddenberry's dream stands for. It took me where I've never gone before! Well done Steve. This book is not only informative, but entertaining. The history of Star Trek merchandising is here in this book. NOTE: This book has collectibles from the original Star Trek and the movies with the original cast; it has only a few from the other Start Trek series (TNG, DS9, etc.). I've been looking for an updated collectibles guide for some time now when I stumbled upon this one and I'm VERY happy with it. It only covers the Original series of the show but Steve's book covers the first items produced back in the 60's all the way up to when this book was published. Filled with pictures of every type of item ever produced, collectors like myself appreciate both a written and visual look at these treasures. That along with the general two tier estimating pricing guide (Mint-in-box and Mint-out-of-box) made me feel like this was a great purchase that I'll go back to again and again. Somewhat disappointed in this book because 99% of what's in it is the "cereal box" genre items rather than the high quality props and memorabilia. Info is very limited on the items with little or no background data. No Master Replica items in this book either which makes it really incomplete for a decent collector. I got it for about $11 so it's not too bad but I would not have paid the full $25 for it. Still keeping an eye out for a real complete collectors book. I have been collecting Star Trek items since I was a child and this is by far the best book on the subject of Star Trek collectibles. The book is organized very well and has some of the best photographs of hard to find Star Trek items that I have even seen. All I can say is EXCELLENT! Loved the book. I wish a book like this was around years ago. After reading, I am inclined to improve my collection by searching for items that I never knew existed. Great job!! Average Rating:![]() |

The Genesis Wave Book Two (Star Trek The Next Generation)ReviewsAfter reading the first two books, I'd definitely liken Genesis Wave to a Star Trek-style Disaster film - ala' The Poseidon Adventure or Towering Inferno. The big difference is that we know exactly who's going to live and who's going to die. The big drawcard is Vornholt's descriptions of the horrific effect that Genesis has on its victims. Particularly in the case of Persephone and Myrmidon. The plot flows at a near frenetic pace - so fast that you almost don't notice the small changes in characterization. One glaring example is Geordi LaForge's budding attraction to Leah Brahms. I'd always assumed that the two nascent lovebirds had decided to be good friends. It's interesting how an internal monologue within a novel can turn what I thought was the romantic status quo, completely on it's head. I still can't decide whether this decision was fan wish-fulfillment, or a logical next step for the two characters. I don't put Vornholt on the same level as Keith R. A. DeCandido, as I think the latter has the edge when it comes to writing solid characterization and witty dialogue. But for those interested in a James Blish-style Trek story with Next Generation characters, this is definitely the novel for you. Like the first book in this series, this is a marvellously well-written fragment of a story; as suggested in the "Book 2" in the title, it is not a complete story unto itself. It starts in the middle of the action, book one having left us hanging on a cliff; this one picks up from there and rides the story through to an (apparent) ending. We also get a preview of "Book 3", just to let us know that the story ISN'T actually over yet, but at least the current immediate plot is tied up nicely. Between the two of them, books one and two make for a five-star Star Trek novel, with excellent characterizations, good action, and a fine plot with many interesting convolutions. I'd have preferred to see this sold as a single large volume, but that's just a personal preference; I hate to see stories broken up into separate books just for marketing purposes. The second book of the Genesis Wave series continues the rollicking ride that the first book gave us, though it's not quite as tight as I would have liked. We still have the galactic destruction, but this book is much more character-based, taking some of the characters in directions that are a little more absurd than I would have liked, but still enjoyable. The ending is predictable (though the method isn't necessarily), and the story is weakened by what turns out to be multiple scenes of monster slaughter. At times, the book felt like a variation on Dawn of the Dead, and lost a little bit of its luster because of it. Still, it was quite enjoyable. Vornholt once again has some good characterization of the regulars in this book. Maltz and Brahms are the highlights here, as they add a lot of fun to a rather downbeat book otherwise. That Vornholt does this without making the Klingons caricatures is even more of an achievement. Instead, they stay true to their Klingon heritage, trying to die with honour and taking as many of the enemy with them as possible. They look down on the humans as soft (one amusing scene has Maltz on a Federation ship trying to get *uncomfortable* in the captain's chair because it shouldn't *be* comfortable), but they develop a healthy respect for Dr. Brahms, mainly because she realizes she has to be just as gruff and harsh as a typical Klingon captain. Other than Maltz and Gradok, we don't really get a good sense of why the rest of the crew is following her. That's a minor point, however. What's not quite as minor is one of the twists involving the Romulans, which I won't get into here other than asking: for what possible purpose would the Romulans have a contingency plan in a fairly deserted area of space before any of this happens (we're talking a matter of days, so there's no way they could have set it up after the Genesis Wave began)? There doesn't seem to be any point to it unless they somehow knew that this area would be important, but there's no indication of that. This plot hole sets up the finale, which does cheapen it a little bit The other problem with the book is that it does, at times, become a monster hunt. This hunt is related to the whole story, so it does serve a bit of a purpose, but on Myrmidon it doesn't seem to connect with the rest of the story. Yes, these monsters are the same as are being dealt with elsewhere, but it only serves to give jeopardy to an already poignant storyline on Myrmidon, where all of these Bolians are trying to survive on a planet that's not really hospitable to them anymore. That may have been an interesting story to tell. These sequences also emphasize a "Super Data" that became a bit annoying at times. Yes, I know Data is capable of leaping great distances, but picturing him bounding around, grabbing people and then jumping away again and again became a little silly. All in all, the situation on Myrmidon did tend to distract from the rest of the book (though it did contain the classic line from Data, "Actually, you were trying to bite my face." Ok, you had to be there). What did I like about Genesis Wave: Book 2? While I found them a bit far-fetched, I loved the Brahms/Klingon scenes. They were just a lot of fun, filled with Klingon bluster and adventure. Maltz is once again the highlight, either when he's swearing vengeance on Carol Marcus or when he's offering to pretend to be Leah's consort in order to protect her from any untoward advances from a crew member. These scenes certainly aren't flawless, but my enjoyment of them outweighed any incredulity that I might have had for them. Carol Marcus was also handled well, especially when she figures out that she's been duped, that Jim Kirk and her son are not really around her, and she must do whatever she can to stop the Wave from being unleashed again. Again, there were a few bits here and there that didn't quite connect for me (I didn't buy how easily she was able to empty her thoughts so that her captors couldn't read them, for example), but I could put any faults aside for the sheer entertainment value and the strength of the characterization. She's a woman who has the deaths of billions on her conscience, even though she was duped. This guilt and determination to not let it happen again shines through. Genesis Wave: Book 2 is not as good, not as cohesive as the first book. However, it is a fitting conclusion to a cosmic adventure. I particularly liked how the ending is not all tied up in a neat little bow for the characters, though it is for the reader. There are some questions that you know they will never be able to answer. It's a nice change of pace. This duology is definitely worth a look-see for any Trek fan. David Roy This book picks up seconds after book one. By the end of the book I was left thinking that this was a perfect ending to the story. Here again we see Geordi dealing with his love interest Leah Brahams. She has been busy moving up the chain of command and now has a crew of her own. The crew of the Enterprise start succuming to the aliens that set off the Genesis Wave in order to save their dying civilization. Billions are dead and the Klingons are in the unconventional roll of acting as transport ships of the injured and refugees left in the wake of a massive evacuation that has decimated much of the alpha quadrant. Makes a nice tie-in to the Star Trek S.C.E. series. As with the first book in this phenomenal series, "The Genesis Wave" book two is a continuation of author John Vornholt's finest work in the Star Trek genre to date. Just as in the first exceptional novel, his visualizations, plot setup and pacing is absolutely "spot on" perfect, lending greatly to a very fast and enjoyable read. Although I read a lot of books in the Star Trek genre, I can say with absolute certainty that only a select few of the titles are as gripping as this tale is.Like the cover art for the first title, the cover art for this second title is absolutely perfect, greatly enhancing the story. The premise:In the first novel Starfleet and the Romulans found themselves dealing with the Genesis wave which was ravaging its way through the Federation, heading for Earth and then the Romulan Star Empire, prompting their help, albeit duplicitous. As the first novel closed, Geordi LaForge, Admiral Nechayev and other key characters were on the planet Mrymidon riding through the Genesis wave and praying that their plan to save as many lives as possible would work...Now, author John Vornholt takes us through the process of finding a solution to the Genesis wave and finding those responsible for its re-creation and launching. What follows from there is nothing short of one of the most intriguing and gripping thrillers in the Star Trek genre. Even more unusual and intriguing are the "bad guys" in this particular trilogy which are rather odd and original, lending greatly to the mystery of this trilogy.I highly recommend this trilogy to any and all fans of Star Trek fiction as I have found these first two tales to be among the best Star Trek novels to date. {ssintrepid} Average Rating:![]() |

Star Trek Next GenerationReviewsI remember playing this game when I was younger and it has always been one of my favorite trek games. Many different missions and hours of fun are packed into this game. The Borg level is certainly a challange but I beat them eventually. This was indeed a warp backward. As the Enterprise engaged for Game Boy, sad things came upon us. Extreme difficulty is the main problem. If you happen to have to fight the tough Romulans, there will be three ships. That in itself makes it hard. The Borg are impossible to stop, you never get to beam down to planets and you always get nagged by the officers in battle. But if you do not like how you were doing, you may be able to travel through time by by being shot while going into warp! Because you have a bridge view and your pad is square and even, the gameplay is a tad clunky as well as trying to make repairs. This game is good only if you can run by and pick it up. There is a small fullfillment level to this game... Let me start out by saying that this game is an exact port of the NES Star Trek The Next Generation game (a hard to find game by the way.) So if you've already played the nintendo game then you won't be impressed. Otherwise if you haven't, then your are in for a different kind of gaming experience. The gameplay is very different from the classic Trek game for NES. You don't even go to any planet surface. Instead you perform beam up the people, items, and what not on a little grid. You have to lock on to the person and then can beam them. This is where I got frustrated at first. The little stick figure flits around the screen so much that lock on at first is nearly impossible but you eventually learn to move your lock on cursor ahead of them that it becomes second nature. The space combat sequences are okay but once you get more than one ship on screen you can be in big trouble if you are not careful to look at your repairs needed. Another thing, the repair screen is just plain weird. Different, but flat out weird. These spark like things move on these circuits and you have to guide them to what you want repaired. Why they did this is beyond me but whatever. The music is just about non-existent. A little rendition of the Next Generation theme song helps but other than that no music at all. Still, I would recommend this game any big time Star Trek fan, like myself. Get yourself a copy (if you can find one). Average Rating:![]() |
