Great toy/product. Just what I wanted per the request of my 7-year-old granddaughter, as we were unable to find this type of item at a brick & mortar store in time for Christmas. She loves it!

My kids, ages 9 and 10, are crazy about Cat's Cradle. This string is great for Cat's Cradle. It is smooth, continuous (no knots--very important), and a good length for this age of child. We have the book String Games, which has great directions for Cat's Cradle. We have an older version, which came as a kit with strings. This string goes really well with the book, String Games. My kids have entertained themselves for days on end with this string. This string, plus String Games book, would make a great gift for kids age 7-10.

My boys are 6 and 7 and they love to play this game. It keeps them busy for hours.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and we both played with it for a long time. He loves it! The strikers were a little hard to control with the magnetic finger but it was still fun. It comes with 2 strikers but buy more so that more than 2 people can play at a time. I really recommend this product.

Very good product and very good deal for the $9.99 I paid. Included all stuff (and batteries) to start a tournament. My two boys 6 and 8 years old got it for xmas and were happy to play with it.

My kid was DYING for one of these! He already had some of the spinning-top sort of toys you play with but they were spinning all over out of control. I searched Amazon for this and found the best price there and got it from Santa Claus. They played with it for a few days then went on to other toys - but it will come around again soon, they always do. I'm glad we got this.

I inadvertently ordered two of these games for two sets of children.I ordered them in late November, since I had read somewhere on a grandparent's website that this was going to be a "hot" toy & would probably sell out quickly. On Christmas Day, I gave the toy to my two granddaughters, & none of the adults present could figure it out. When I went back a week later, it was left somewhere, unplayed with because it still had not been figured out. I took it back to my home & attempted to return it, but my attempts were thwarted because my 30 days had expired (remember, I made my purchase in late November). The whole experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. Next Christmas, I will have to figure out a better way to buy toys. By the way, the [...] site that recommended that toy also said that the zhu zhu hamsters were a good bet. One hamster didn't work at all, & again, my time to return had expired. Again - not a good feeling!!

My husband and I go this toy for our son for xmas. It's very entertaining, and the batteries last a lot longer than I expected. I wouldn't say that this is an educational toy, though - it's s fun toy.

Great sound, fun toy, all kids and teens, and my toddler love this toy. However, the suction-esqe cup that it rests on cracked and the toy would no longer stand. I put tape all over the plastic cup thing and now it can stand, balance and my child is enjoying it again. Its not a true suction cup because it is a slighter harder plastic and does not really attach to surfaces, more like it just balances. I don't regret purchasing, I would buy again. The train and the sound have not faltered, and many rough 7 to 14yr kids have played with it. My toddler loves it also, I am glad the other kids pounding on it hasn't ruined it...

This top is so cute. My grandson was very interested in it probably as early as 4 months. Of course he couldn't make it go at that time but at about 18 months he was able to figure it out on his own. When we first showed it to him he would try to grab the train through the plastic cover. Pretty funny. The durability of it seems very good. No matter how hard you push it to get the train to go faster it takes the abuse. I would recommend this top even for a day care where it would get hard use. Even we adults enjoy watching the train go around and the train noise it makes.

This fascinated both my one and my four year old boys. It makes train sounds and little things happen as the train goes around. Seems sturdy and well designed.

Our 18 month old really likes this toy. Her face lights up whenever we play with it. The only struggle we have is that the spinner mechanism takes a bit more strength and balance combo than she can provide on her own so a big sister or adult has to help when she plays with it. Still, we are pleased with this fun toy.

I bought this top for my 4yr. old for Christmas. Not only does he enjoy it but so does my 12yr. and 8yr. old sons and me. Not to mention the 15yr. old girl up the street. We all see how fast we can get the train to go. LOL! You definately have to get this one if you have children maybe even if you don't.

My 2 1/2 year old boy loves trains, so it was an easy decision to get him this. I don't have any complains for now.

I was very disappointed. My mother had a top similar to this as a child. We purchased this one and it did not live up to expectations. The top has to be pushed down very hard and fast for the train to make noise. It is difficult for small children and the fun fades very quick. It is a toy that will be used once or twice and then discarded.

I bought this top for my 2 year old after reading reviews and seeing people thought this one was ok. I am here to tell you it's not. This top has nothing of interest except the train and you have to pump this about 30 times just to get the train to go half way around the track. How many toddlers do you know with that kind of patience for a minimal reward? The clear dome spins but what's the point if you can't really see it? The train sounds are ok but there are plenty other toys out there that make train sounds. If I had actually seen this in person in a store I never would have purchased it. This is going back ASAP and maybe I will try a choral top. Then again, maybe not.......

I really wanted a top that you could spin and as it slowed down, it would topple and fall. At first my grandson, who is 2, was not the slightest bit interested in it. In fact the noise scared him. But little by little, he came around and even tried to push the handle down. Eventually he shouted do it again over and over. I guess that the toys of old have been upgraded, but as long as he's happy, I'm happy. The good thing about this toy is it teaches hand coordination and works their little muscles. The bright colors are also an asset.

Our son received this top from his aunt and uncle for his 2nd birthday and it is the best top I've ever seen and played with! As others have said, our son isn't quite yet able to push the knob down hard enough to get it to work but he will soon enough. The sounds it makes are so real and last quite a while. He likes to lie down on his tummy and watch it although he can't resist and he eventually touches it - the spinning and thus the train stops but the sounds continue! The train actually goes around inside the clear covering and there are two indicators that react when the train passes through each area which adds to the coolness of this toy! I was expecting the typical spinning top when we gave that as an idea for a gift but this surpasses that by landslides! It's great!
