PostHeaderIcon Action Figures

An action figure is a posable character figurine, made of plastic or other materials, and often based upon a movie, comic book, video game, or television program. These action figures are usually marketed towards boys. Redressable action figures are sometimes referred to as action dolls as a distinction from those which have all or most of their clothes molded on. Action figures are particularly popular with boys because they represent traditional masculine traits and are closely associated with the public sphere which is represented by items such as tools, transportation, garages, machines, and military equipment

History

1960s-1970s

The term "action figure" was first used by Hasbro in 1964, to market their G.I. Joe figure to boys who wouldn't play with dolls. G.I. Joe was initially a military-themed 11.5-inch action figure proposed by marketing and toy idea-man Stan Weston. The action figure featured changeable clothes with various uniforms to suit different purposes. In a move that would create global popularity for this type of toy, Hasbro also licensed the product to companies in other markets.

These different licensees had a combination of uniforms and accessories that were usually identical to the ones manufactured for the US market by Hasbro, along with some sets that were unique to the local market.

The Japanese had at least two examples where a Hasbro licensee also issued sublicenses for related products. For example, Palitoy issued a sublicense to Tsukuda, a company in Japan, to manufacture and sell Action Man accessories in the Japanese market. Takara also issued a sublicense to Medicom for the manufacture of action figures.

Takara, still under license by Hasbro to make and sell G.I. Joe toys in Japan, also manufactured an action figure incorporating the licensed GI Joe torso for Henshin Cyborg-1, using transparent plastic revealing cyborg innards, and a chrome head and cyborg feet. During the oil supply crisis of the 1970s, like many other manufacturers of action figures, Takara was struggling with the costs associated with making the large 11 ½ inch figures, So, a smaller version of the cyborg toy was developed, standing at 3-3/4 inches high, and was first sold in 1974 as Microman. The Microman line was also novel in its use of interchangeable parts. This laid the foundation for both the smaller action figure size and the transforming robot toy. Takara began producing characters in the Microman line with increasingly robotic features, including Robotman, a 12" robot with room for a Microman pilot, and Mini-Robotman, a 3-3/4" version of Robotman. These toys also featured interchangeable parts, with emphasis placed on the transformation and combination of the characters.

In 1971, Mego began licensing and making American Marvel and DC comic book superhero figures which had highly successful sales and are considered highly collectible by many adults today. They eventually brought the Microman toy line to the United States as the Micronauts, but Mego eventually lost control of the market after rejecting the license to produce Star Wars toys in 1976. The widespread success of Kenner's Star Wars 3-3/4" toy line made the newer, smaller size the industry standard. Instead of a single character with outfits that changed for different applications, toy lines included teams of characters with special functions. Led by Star Wars-themed sales, collectible action figures quickly became a multi-million dollar secondary business for movie studios.

I bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday. We love having BBQs during the summer and with friends bringing their children, it was always hard to fit them into adult chairs at the table with us. This little table is awesome for the toddlers. It fits four comfortably, six snugly. They can eat next to us and go off to play without disturbing anyone. I leave this out all summer so that we can do crafts outside or just have snacks on the patio when the weather is nice. I don't know about the reviews regarding bending seat as I've sat on it many times without bending it. I'm 5'2 and 120 lbs. That's plenty big for those who said a large child could bend the seat. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase.

The table is very stable and strong, the kids really enjoy it, it is comfortable, can be cleaned easily and large enough.

When the table arrived the plastic wrap was ripped in several places and the item was damaged in those places. I emailed the sender to report the damage and never got a reply or offer of a price adjustment or replacement even though I was asked in a follow up email about the delivery. While the table was still usable, I was disappointed with the lack of response and the way the item was prepared for shipping.

My Grandson loves his new larger table, he had the smaller table since he was one but now that he is four, he needed a larger table and this one is great.

Folds up tiny, like promised, and very slim. Wide, open table top with plenty of room for multiple kiddos to sit at. The curved benches seem to make it easier for little ones to slide in and out of.

Borderlands Borderlands

The actual game music to this game is excellent and 100 percent effective in the game. Apart from the game as a listening experience, and I say this with all due respect to all of the composers involved, Jesper Kyd's tracks stand head and shoulders above the rest quite easily IMO at least. You can listen to the MP3's of the tracks here I think or certainly at Sumthing Else's own site for the album. I'd say if you really wanted a Best Of Borderlands soundtrack for yourself and wanted to save a few bucks, then buy the Jesper Kyd tracks MP3 and if you wanted you could get the two songs right here on Amazon: [...] It's that easy! :) It's too bad some people were in such a rush to express their disappointment about these two songs not being on the album that they put up rather unfairly harsh "reviews" that just aren't fair or accurate IMO. Sure, it would have been nice to have the two songs on the album for completion sake but it really isn't the end of the world and it's easily rectified. If you're into actual game music then chances are you know who Jesper Kyd is at least and that right there should tell you that you've got some incentive to make a purchase here of some sort. You know right away that this isn't a 2/5 star product with his name on it. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars and gave it 4 is because the non Jesper tracks are not nearly as standout as impressive to listen to apart from the game IMO and for the exclusion of the two songs. Past this, there's only one other "downside" to getting this soundtrack: If you're a fan of the game you've probably put in a lot of hours which means you know this music all too well. Way too well. It's an easy hazard of overexposure and repetition. ;) It'll be a long time after I finish with the game before I can fire this album up. That's just the way I am. ;) I tell you which track I'd really like to have: The music from the General Knoxx DLC that plays in the Crimson Armory. That is a gorgeous track with a real orchestra and even choral work. It almost has a little bit of Elfman and Zimmer going for it. It might be the outright best music track in the entire game and I'd salute whichever composer did that track and I'd love to have it. If anyone can track that down let me know. Thanks!

What I really wanted most was "No rest for the wicked", but it wasn't on this album (only instrumental songs here). Turns out you have to buy the additional album Cage The Elephant to get it.

There are 2 songs that all Borderlands players want to have, No Rest For The Wicked, and No Heaven. Those seem to be the only 2 songs from the game that were left off the soundtrack. The 27 songs that are on this soundtrack are just the background sound scapes from the game. Very disappointing.

My son's bed is against the window (only way it'll fit in the room) so my husband and I were nervous. We bought this product and can sleep easy now. It's easy to install, secure, and yet it is easy for adults to pop off in case of emergency (we practised to test it out). I highly recommend.

This is a must have for low windows. We were worried that they would look like a cell but knew for safety were very necessary. We were pleasantly surprised, you barely notice on window and it keeps our son safe!

This video contains all the World Series that the Dodgers won since moving to Los Angeles. This is great for Dodger fans. As a Yankee fan I was most interested in their two confrontations in 1963 and 1981. Both were very memorable to me. The Yankees also played the Dodgers in the 1977 and 1978 World Series but the Dodgers were on the short end of those series, so they are not included. In 1959 the Dodger won in only their second year in Los Angeles. They beat Al Lopez's White Sox in 6th games. This was the beginning of the Koufax and Drysdale Dodgers but the pitching hero was a reliever named Larry Sherry. Casey Stengel's Yankees only lost the American League pennant twice in the 1950s and both times it was to a team managed by Al Lopez. First the Cleveland Indians with the pitching of Feller, Wynn and Lemon in 1954 and then to the White Sox in 1959. In 1954 the Indians amassed an amazing total of more than 110 wins in a 154 game season and so a Yankee team that won as many games as any in the 1950s lost out. 1959 was the only bad year that the Yankees had under Stengel and they finished a distant third that year. In 1963 the Yankees still had Mantle and Maris and Skowron, Howard and Berra. They were the defending World Champions but got swept by the Dodgers in the series due to phenomenal pitching. Mantle did hit his 15th World Se3ries home run off Koufax in game 4 to tie a record that Babe Ruth held at the time for most World Series home runs. Three of the games were pitchers battles with Ford battling Koufax twice and Bouton against Drysdale. But the Dodgers were able to win each game. A young Al Downing picthed the other game. 1981 was another interesting year. It was a strike year with a split season where there was a playoff in each league between the teams that won each half season. I think Cincinnati had a better overall record than any team in the National League but because of the peculiar format they didn't even get into the playoff since their record in each half was not the tops in the league. It was Fernando Valenzuela's rookie season and the popular Mexican was the National League Rookie of the Year and Cy Young award winner. The excitement due in part to the large Mexican-American population in the Los Angeles area led the media to refer to this as Fernando mania. He was able to lead Lasorda's Dodgers to a victory over those Yankees that Tommy's team couldn't achieve in 1977 or 1978. The 1988 Dodgers were the team led by Orel Hershiser and Kirk Gibson. They beat a strong Oakland As team. Gibson was unable to play in the Series but in the nonth inning of game 1 the Dodgers had the tying run on base with two outs. The As had brought their ace reliever Dennis Eckersley into the game. Lasorda decided to pinch hit with Kirk Gibson. Gibson hobbled up to the plate and if he hit a long "extra base" hit he would be lucky to make it just to first base. Amazingly, Gibson made contact with a fast ball and somehow got the leverage to hit it into the right field seats at Dodger Stadium. Jack Buck was calling the game for the national network on radio and was so stunned that he uttered the famous line "I don't believe what I just saw!"

Having grown up a Dodgers fan, the '81 and '88 championships are part of my youth. However, I had never seen much footage on any of the other championships that they won after moving to LA. With the exception of the '65 series, every game is shown in detail. 1959: Dodgers beat the White Sox in six - Only their second year in Los Angeles, this team has been compared to the Amazing Mets because of the unlikeliness of their season. It shows the bridge between the Brooklyn Dodgers (Duke Snider, Johnny Podres, etc) to the '60's Los Angeles Dodgers (Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax... including Koufax's first postseason start.) The credits show the narrator as "Vince Scully"... the familiar voice of the Dodgers for more than 50 years. 1963: Dodgers beat the Yankees in four - Ahhh... to sweep the Evil Empire (even on video) is sweet! Scully is back (now known simply as Vin) to walk us through the four game pitching demonstration. The first game saw Koufax break a record for most strikeouts in a World Series game (15) and the Series as a whole showed a grand total of four Yankee runs. 1965: Dodgers beat the Twins in seven - This is the one series that seems to be missing footage. Both game 2 and game 4 are rolled up into one single replay from the respective game with a very brief overview from Scully. Probably the most interesting thing about this series is the fact that both the Dodgers and Twins brough their Game 5 pitchers, Sandy Koufax and Jim Kaat, respectively, back for Game 7 on two days rest. For the Dodgers, that meanst skipping Drysdale's start... a HOF'er in his own right. Even more incredibly, Koufax pitches a complete game shutout! 1981: Dodgers beat the Yankees in six (at the time, it was only the second time that a team had lost the first two games and then won the next four) - This series recap shows more than just a scoring / highlight replay of the games. For the first time in the series of videos, the producer attempted to "set the scene" and provide some drama to the storyline. While I think all of these recaps are taken from their original productions, it does show the differences in how the game was marketed in the late 50's / early 60's versus the 80's. The other nice feature is that is does show some very limited highlights from both the Dodgers and Yankees earlier playoff series (including Rick Monday's dramatic homerun against the Expos). From a series perspective, it showed games that I had seen in the original broadcast, which brought out a flood of, "Oh yeah... I remember that!" feelings. From Ron Cey's diving catch of a foul bunt and doubling the runner off first in Game 3 to Cey getting hit in the head with a pitch in Game 5 to the controversial decision to remove Tommy John after four innings in Game 6 (just prior to the flood gates opening), the moments are there. It also included three straight one-run victories by the Dodgers while playing in front of their home crowd. 1988: Dodgers beat the A's in five - What can be said about this series that hasn't already been said? Obviously, Game 1 is one of the all-time classics in World Series history. Jose Canseco's second inning grand slam became the A's only runs of the game (and, ironically, Canseco's only hit of the series). From that point on , Dodger relievers held Oakland in check and the offense got just enough to set up Kirk Gibson's dramatic homerun in the bottom of the ninth. Games 2 and 5 showed the mastery that was Orel Hershiser that season (he ended up as the winner of the World Series MVP, NLCS MVP, and the Cy Young winner for that season.) This truly was the little team that could.

For a long time I have been wanting to find some footage of the old Dodger teams playing but MLB have made it hard to see it but this DVD has a lot of what I was looking for.

After wearing out my VHS versions, MLB productions have finally put their WS films on DVD. As al ifelong Dodger fan I wish they had also included the 1955 WS. Also why haven't they made all of the other MLB team Series available. Still need the Mets, Tigers, Braves and Indians I think. But the quality is still there on the new DVDs ans having them all in one package is great for a baseball lover like me. Also think MLB productions should put out more box sets of famous series like the 88 or 91 or maybe a playoff package like the 86 playoffs or the the 2003. Anyway if you love baseball like me you should pick these up

Over the years, I bought all those World Series videos for the Dodgers that now go for $50-$100 apiece on auctions, Amazon and elsewhere. Now they are all available in all their glory on this two-disc DVD set. No special music or extras here (which would be welcome), just the tapes transfered to DVD with narration by Vin Scully throughout except for the 1988 Series narrated by Bob Costas (complete with the puns but without the Gatorade drenching he got after the game where he said the Dodgers had the worst team in Series history on the field). Since I have the original tapes, I was able to make a direct A-B comparison with the DVD set and the quality is very similar. No disappointments here but remember the old shows done in the late 50's and early 60's aren't up to par technologically with the later shows. Still it's a welcome set to those who have been searching for those VHS tapes of Dodger World Series Championships. Go Blue!

Average Rating:

Covering two DVDs and over three hours, Vintage World Series Films: Los Angeles Dodgers covers five championship years of the Dodgers following their move from Brooklyn to the West Coast. Beginning with 1959 (a 34-minute film narrated by future legend Vin Scully), it's a time capsule of Dodger history, from the dominance of pitchers Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale to the speed of Maury Wills to their 1981 breakthrough against the New York Yankees...

Here are the matches: #1 Jeff Hardy vs Chris Jericho Very good opener for No Way Out. Chris Jericho took the win at 12 min and 59 sec.9/10 #2 Lance Storm and William Regal vs Rob Van Dam and Kane Very intense match but disapointing ending. William Regal and Lance Storm somehow get the win at 9:20. 8/10 #3 Matt Hardy vs Billy Kidman Another good match and Hardy wins the title at 9:31. 7/10 #4 Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar vs Team Angle Good match. Brings up the hype when Edge gets "injured" and can't compete. Even at that Benoit and Lesnar get the win at 13:19. 10/10 #4 Big Show vs Undertaker This match is one of the best matches on this DVD. Awsome buildup on Smackdown the weeks before No Way Out. The Undertaker wins at 14:08. 11/10 #5 Sotne Cold Steve Austin vs Eric Bischoff This match is great. Just great. Stone Cold (of course) creams Bischoff at 4:26 after THREE Stone Cold Stunners.10/10 #6 Triple H vs Scott Steiner This match was okay, but I thought they could have put more into it. Triple H wins at 13:01 6/10 #7 The Rock vs Hulk Hogan This was the best match of the night. Alot like Wrestlemania. It was the perfect rematch. The Rock secures the win at 12:20. 12/10 Matches maybe in deferent order in the DVD. The theme song is Bring Me To Life by Evanesence featuring Paul McCoy (12 Stones) 9/10 DVD BUY IT!!!

No Way Out 2003 was one of the best PPVS in the year of 2003. Pretty good with the Triple main Event. Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho Awesome opener. It was last minute because Test became injured and was replaced by Hardy. Two awesome athletes like Jeff and Chris make this match enjoyable and fast. Montreal loved Y2J and didnt care for Hardy. Good Opener William Regal and Lance Storm vs. Kane and RVD for the World Tag Team Titles- Good Match with a lot of tag team spots. Rvd was big in Canada. This match wasnt slow at all. Regal mixing submission with striking wasnt bad for this match at all. But the ending is sneaky. Matt Hardy vs. Billy Kidman for the Cruiserweight Title Nice match with a bunch of top rope spots but Shannon moore gets involved too much. This match couldnt have had better timing though. Kidman showed his fast abliliy in this match but the ending is too predictable Big Show vs. The Undertaker Slow match. It went slow but really wasnt that bad of a match. Its worth watching because of the unusual moves Taker brings in this match. A nice spot where Taker dives out of the ring onto Heyman and A-train. Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit vs. Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, and Kurt Angle in a Handicap Match Edge was susposed to be Lesnar and Benoit's partner but was attacked backstage. Great Match anyways. I never understood why rookies like Haas and Benjamin got a long push even when they were new. Good match that becomes fast when all five get in the ring. This match hinted how intense the Wrestlemania match between Angle and Lesnar was going to be. Good Match. Triple H vs. Scott Steiner for the World Heavyweight Championship Not a good match. Steiner and HHH just dont mix. Also Note that Steiner is like 51, he cant wrestle well anymore. This match was too prove that HHH was an ultimate champion by defeating a legend like Steiner. But The Crowd Hated Steiner and the referee. Evoloution interferes too prove how dominant they are. Bad Match Austin vs. Bischoff Entertaining match here as Austin returns to get revenge on Eric Bischoff. Fun Match to watch. The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan Good match with some good spots. Hilarious when The Rock impersonates Hogan. This was a hype match instead of a wrestling match. This match gets more intense as the Ref turns out to be a henchman of Vince. So the Ref becomes an ally and helps Rock and Vince. Canada becomes confused as Deja Vu hits when Vince Screws Hogan which shades the Infamous "Montreal Screwjob" No Way Out 2003 is a recommended PPV to buy or rent. None of the Matches are really disappointing except for the end of the PPV.

I watched the Rock-Hogan Smackdown promo first, It was decent but both men have done hundreds better. Rock was on his way to Hollywood anyhow. Rey Mysterio VS Jamie Noble: This was Sunday Heat match was a quick. It was alright but its Heat, meaning nothing speical. Jeff Hardy VS Chris Jericho: This was a hell of an opener. This two worked well together and the last few minutes of this match were awesome. Loved the ending to the match. After, HBK comes out to save Hardy from a beating by Jericho and Christian. HBK gives Christian a superkick. RVD and Kane VS Regal and Storm: Both teams were on there game during this match. RVD starts off with dazzling moves then Kane comes in and botched a elbow drop. The ending was perfect. Billy Kidman VS Matt Hardy: A short but good contest. Im glad Shannon Moore didnt interfere and anther awesome ending. 3 in a row, unheard of for a PPV. Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit are backstage and its chaos because someone knocked Edge out of the match tonight. Boo hoo, I hate Edge anyways. Big Show VS Undertaker: After three awesome matches, they had too have one bad match. This was it; A slow, decnt brawl between the two big men. The aftermath with Albert hitting the derailer was dumb and he should have done it on the chair instead. Brock Lesnar and Chris Benoit VS Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, and Charlie Haas: At this point in time, Smackdown had some of the greatest talent in the world. Paul Heyman was also in this match, too bad I hate hearing his voice. This match was good but the ending was fast paced confusion. Scott Steiner VS Triple H: I liked there Royal Rumble match, even though alot of people hated it. Fans are booing and Lawler says its because there are alot of Triple H fans. Either that or this match sucked. I choose the latter. What a snorefest! I skipped this match, it sucked beyond belief. Eric Bischoff VS Steve Austin: I skipped this. JR at the end of this match was funny; JR acted like Austin won the world title, let alone something much bigger. Calm down Ross, jeez. Rock VS Hogan 2: I didnt think there WrestleMania match was all that great but I will admit, they are both two of the greatest showman of all time. This match sucked and the ending was stupid. Overall, the first three matches were awesome. The last three matches were beyond bad. Id still buy the ppv but the last three matches ruined the event.

80-76%-perfect 75-71%-awsome 70-66%-good 65-61%-poor 60-56%-awful 1. Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho- This was the right choice to kick off the ppv. I would say that both men have good chemistry and a good fast pace match to kick off the ppv was good. Jericho controlled a lot of the early being with lots of solid wrestling and the crowd loved it 100%. Hardy fought back and even hit the Swanton bomb on Jericho but he ended up escaping that as well. A good battle with hardy tapping to the walls of Jericho which was cool. Winner Chris Jericho. Match Rating 7.5/10. 2. William Regal and Lance Strom vs. RVD and Kane for the world tag team titles- This was a decent tag team match. It almost seemed like a filler but I passed pretty well. RVD and kane controlled most of the match early but than reagl and storm fought back. There was some great tag team wrestling by storm and regal with some sick suplexs on RVD by regal. Kane got the tag but when storm and regal went to rip off the mask kane accidentally chock slammed RVD. Match Rating 6.5/10. 3. Billy Kidman vs. Matt Hardy for the cruiserweight title- This was yet another solid match. This was nothing but a nice 10 minute fast pace match. Not a lot to say here just some solid high flying moves and great cruiserweight wrestling by both men. Winner and new wwe cruiserweight champ Matt Hardy. Match Rating 7/10. 4. The Big Show vs. Undertaker- This had a great storyline behind it with big show taking out taker 3 months back and taker came back for revenge. I usually am not a big fan for the big man matches but this was a really good one. Big Show controlled a lot of it but taker fought back. Even A-Train tried to come down and interfere but was stopped by taker. He got back in the ring and was chock slammed by the big show but he reversed it into a sick chock hold and he chock out big show. Sweet stuff right here. Winner Undertaker. Match Rating Rating 7/10. 5. Brock Lesnar, Chris Beniot, Edge vs. Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, vs. Charlie Haas- This ended up being a 3 on 2 handicap match because Edge was taken out back stage before the match. With Edge out this match it became a huge technical wrestling match. In this match tons of suplexs and tons of mat work. This match flowed really well as sometime handicap matches don't go so well but this one was awesome with tons of near falls. Winners Brock Lesnar and Chirs Beniot. Match Rating 8.5/10. 6. HHH vs. Scott Stiner for the World Heavyweight Title- This was a good match. A lot of the crowd was against stiner in this match and were even chanting boring but it was not boring. This started out with stiner working on the leg of HHH. Than it turned into a little bit of a brawl with lots of shots to the steel steps. There was interference by evolution that led to a shot to the head by HHH on stiner but he kicked out. Winner andstill WHC HHH. Match Rating 7.5/10. 7. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Eric Bishoff- This is not really a match. This was more of Stone Cold coming back to ppv and kicking Eric Bishoffs A**. This is more of a segment some what entertaining but not really need on the card. Winner Stone Cold Steve Austin. Match Rating 3/10. 8. The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan 2- This was not as good as there first match at wrestlemania 18. I was not expecting this to be better but I was hoping it would still live up to the hype. This was still a good match but seemed a little rushed. There were a lot of near falls and a weird but kind of smart ending with a Vince screwjob which set up Hogan Mcmahon for wrestlemania 19. Winner The Rock. Match Rating 7/10. Well that raps up another. I would give NO Way Out 2003 a grade of 54/80 which is a 68% which means this is a good ppv. I would recommend this DVD if you could get it off Ebay for a cheaper price. Not a bad dvd and a lot of solid matches. If you can tell me if my review was helpful or not I would appreciate that. Thanks for your time.

For the first time since Survivor Series '97, WWE returned to PPV in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with it's last stop before WrestleMania XIX for No Way Out...and you can bet your money that someone is going to get "screwed" before the night is over. Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho - It was originally suppost to be Test but Hardy replaced him less than a week before the event. This was actually Jeff Hardy's last WWE PPV event & this match had Jeff actually putting in a good effort against Jericho who had the canadian crowd on his side. Good opener but the real highlight was the aftermath involving Shawn Michaels & the crowd reaction to HBK coming down to ringside. Boy, these canadian fans don't forget anything...even if it's over 5 years later. World Tag Team Champions Lance Storm & William Regal vs. Kane & RVD - This match looks mismatched on paper with all the different styles between the four men involved but actually came off pretty well. The ending was a little cheap (Kane gets his masked twisted around) but it didn't take away from an above average match. Crusierweight Champion Billy Kidman vs. Matt Hardy - Taking away the funny storyline of Hardy losing weight to qualify for the title match...the match was fast paced & not boring without it being a spotfest as Matt Hardy won the Crusierweight title. Undertaker vs. Big Show - Anyone who says this match is boring is probably just not a fan of a "big man vs. big man" match as they actually had a good match with Undertaker pulling out some new moves that you would see in mixed martial arts federations like UFC. Big Show held his own here as a monster as well. Brock Lesnar & Chris Benoit vs. Team Angle - WWE knew that Edge wasn't going to be able to wrestler in this match but they went ahead & advertised it anyway but had someone take out Edge backstage (and we still don't know who did it to this day) making this a handicap match. A great match here with all five participants as it build up the tease of what to expect from Angle/Brock WM main event even more. This is mostly highlighted as the match that started to give Kurt Angle neck problems as you see during one point where Brock drops Angle on the top turnbuckle & Kurt went down for over a minute. Nobody in this match missed a beat eventhough Edge couldn't participate. World Champion Triple H vs. Scott Steiner - Boy, the crowd gave this match the most heat of the night. First, they were booing Steiner & then eventually turned on the match itself. It was better than their match the month before at the Rumble only because it didn't go as long but this match was just to further establish Triple H's group of Evolution as they cost Steiner the belt in the end. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Eric Bischoff - You've heard Austin say that he's gonna open up a can of whoop-ass plenty of times...but here's what he means when say that. Austin completely destroyed Bischoff with Jim Ross (who was injured by Bischoff the week earlier on RAW) on commentary yelling non-stop. And Austin gave Bischoff stunner after stunner. The Rattlesnake was back! Hollywood Hogan vs. The Rock - This is a match for those to watch that says The Rock is a horrible wrestler because The Rock carried this match as Hogan didn't do much as he did limited moves to offset The Rock's offense & get the crowd to pop. This match just like the previous Triple H/Steiner match was just a backdrop to further develop a storyline in which Mr. McMahon ended up using a referee to screw the hero (Hogan) out of a victory in Montreal, Canada...sounds like deja vu doesn't it? Overall, this was an entertaining match thanks The Rock's efforts but if your expecting the same type of match they had a WrestleMania then don't get your hopes up. Overall, there really wasn't a bad match on this card as all the matches on here were solid & none were below average. I recommend.

hello my first dvd i was able to get of this animie an i enjoyed it alot a friend of mine in the U.S. put me onto this series an im glad he did but since he does have all the series on disk and his birthday is coming up i sent him the little statue figures asa gift ..as for the dvd i kept im so happy when i saw i could watch the episodes with the girls voices in english i would have been disappointed if i had to read subtitles all the way through an miss the action on screen ,,so happy with this order i placed here

Cute anime for little girls but I'm not into this cause they don't have naked chicks. This series is too girly for me (P.U.)

Since seeing my first Galaxy Angel episode in 2005, I decided I wanted to collect as many of the episodes as I could. The Galaxy Angel What's Cooking Limited Edition Box is a fine addition to my collection. Granted, the box only contains the first DVD of the show with four episodes, but there is so much more inside! In addition to the DVD, a special booklet with part of the Galaxy Angel managa is enclosed, two pencil boards showing the girls in all the glory and even five figurines of the Angels! Not only that, but the box can be used to hold all 4 DVD's of the series! For any Galaxy Angel fan, this is a good deal and a purchase I do not regret.

When I picked up this DVD, I scanned the back and bought it. The next day I went to Best Buy and got the second DVD. This anime is hilarious, and light on your wallet since there are only 4 DVDs. Tons of replay value. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants anime girls bumbling through everything.

I loved the first volume of Galaxy Angel, even though there is nu plot so far OoO But all the crazy parodies and comedy make up for it! All 5 characters have a attractive charm to them which make them all watchable! Yes, even the silent and creepy Vanilla OoO;;; Very recommended! Space adventure Parodies, guns, girly girls, gambling, Forte using the sharpshooter in a wrestling match, this DVD has it all!!!!! ^o^ By the way, Milfeulle rules! Though the missile "Nomat" "Normad" whatever, someone really needs to put the little guy out of his misery! After all,*spoiler*that's his destiny! *winks*

The teenage girls of the Angel Brigade have a tough assignment: find the mysterious Lost Technology of the old Galactic Network. Their chances seem to improve when Milfeulle (presumably a misspelling of the name of the pastry Millefeuille) joins Forte, Ranpha, Vanilla, and Mint on the job...

Monkey Figures - Tiny Plastic Monkey Figures - Party Favors Monkey Figures - Tiny Plastic Monkey Figures - Party Favors

I saw the "rock n roll" monkey on Reddit. I Googled 'quarter machine monkey' and lo and behold, Amazon had them in a 10 pack. Price shot up same day!

such a fun toy - we used them at a party and have some on the desk near the computer

I was planning to buy these for my sons party, they were selling for 2.65 plus 4.88 shipping......so why are they a couple days later selling for 9.99 & 7.95 SHIPPING? This is outrageous and I will no longer be buying them unless they return to the proper price. Sounds like a dodgy company to do business with, especially when these things are less than an inch big & 10 of them only weigh 3 oz. BUYERS BEWARE!

These monkeys are small and pretty poor quality (the painting is not nearly as neat as it looks in the picture). I got them to put on top of cupcakes at my sons birthday party, and they will do the job just fine. They are only 2 bucks, what can you expect?

The description of this item is that it is a set of 1 each of 10 different toys. I received 3 of one toy, 2 of another and then 5 individual toys so my "set of 10" was actually a set of 7 plus some duplicates. Also, as noted by another reviewer, these used to cost $2.65 and then went up to $7.99. I purchased them last week at the higher price and find that today that the price is back down to $2.65. Charging three times the price for an incomplete set is not the way to treat a customer.

These figures are small (Very Small). They are about the size of a penny. Because of their size, they could be a choking hazard to small children and not suited for children 3 and under (I would recommend children 6 and over)...

Star Wars Interactive R2D2 Astromech Droid Robot Star Wars Interactive R2D2 Astromech Droid Robot

A must have for any Star Wars fan - though it obviously has its limitations, interacting with R2-D2 is definitely something all diehard fans have been waiting for.

This was a gift for my son. He was thrilled but maybe a little too young (6). You need to be clear with the commands and things need to be said a certain way. We have been working on that with our son so he can command the R2 unit properly. He absoluty loves it and I would buy it again for him. The R2 can be tempermental so getting him to do things can also be challenging. Working on the bugs out.

We gave this as a Christmas present to our 7 year-old son who's a big Star Wars fan and he was able to set it up himself. It is sometimes stubborn like the real R2D2 and doesn't obey your command which makes it more interesting for him. My son and 6 year-old daughter loves the "light tag" function where it plays hide and seek with them. It even plays a secret message from Princess Lea! We baught rechargeable D and AA batteries for it as well - the "Tenergy" brand was a good deal for it.

I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. It is a really cool toy. R2D2 listens to voice commands, he plays hide-and seek, and even dances. R2D2 will even go on patrol, and alert you if someone enters the room. We have had R2 for almost a year now, and my son still enjoys him. I would recommend this toy for Star Wars fans or robot fans, he is awesome.

My kids really enjoy playing with their R2-D2 robot! It has lots of voice commands, plus there are some secret ones they don't tell you about in the book! R2 moves very well on wood floors or carpet. The quality seems very good as R2 is well built and we've had no problems after over a year of ownership. Owning this made my son very interested in robots as a career and we've now gotten a Lego Mindstorms NXT.
